There is something fishy about casting (instant) Corruption

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I've been leveling my warlock on Elysium, lvl 20 now. I've got the 5/5 imp Corruption from affliction talents to make the spell instant.

However I've felt that very often the spell fails to instant cast if moving.

Example: I send my void to target mob and cast CoA. After CoA GCD has finished I cast corruption(while moving). I get default combat text error "interrupted".

This could be simply lag and me doing it "too fast".

But I also tried this the other way around, where I cast corruption first and CoA after, it worked perfectly every time.

Is there a possibility that because of lag or something weird in scripting it is not possible to instantly cast Corruption after another instant spell (only GCD, no cast time)? Could server lag prevent this / server check if I have 5/5 on corruption before allowing instant cast and therefore fail?

Ill not put anything on bug tracker yet, opinions?

Regards,

Zerg

I have the same "feeling" but i think its down to GCD being longer on vanilla, so you try to spam a spell before the GCD is actaully over.

Thats what my experience tells me anyway.

It's more to it than that; if you try to cast while in the GCD you get the standard message. But often if I time it just right I still get the "interrupted" message which shouldn't happen.
