Cuirl 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2017 (edited) Hi there, Been playing fine without any problems since the day the new Elysium server started. However, today when I wanted to relog, I got stuck at loading screen (to get into the world, I got into toon selection with no problems). I then proceeded to search for possible fixes online and read that I had to delete my WDB and WTF folders. I recall doing this in the past, so I figured it wasn't a big deal. However, now, whenever I log in, I get disconnected from server right away. I log in just fine, but before toon selection it disconnects me. Anybody else with a similar problem or a fix for this? I am desperate to get back into the game, as I plan on having a level 60 before I start the tedious life of a student again. Kind regards EDIT: I also added the authenticator in between not having any problems logging in and having some, can the authenticator be a problem? EDIT2: a TL;DR for people. Depending on what I do, I either get stuck on "Connected" or "Retrieving character list" during the login process itself. I can bypass this by replacing the WDB and WTF folders with the old ones. It managed to get me further and I can now login to a server, however, it is now stuck at "Retrieving character list". Couldn't find a possible solution in the link you provided. Has this something to do with the deleted WDB file? Should I try and restore it? EDIT: I restored the previous WDB and WTF folder, and managed to get my character list back. However it got stuck on connect, so I went out of WoW again, into config.wtf and changed it to "SET realmName "Elysium"". However, to no prevail. I am still now stuck on "connected". Go into main wow folder, open realmlist.wtf Copy and paste this in: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org That is the only thing that should be on the file. Deleted config.wtf, ran WoW.exe as admin, now stuck in Retrieving character list" EDIT: Replaced the newly created WDB folder with the old one, I get past "Retrieving character list" now, but I get stuck at loading screen again, where I get DC'ed after about 2 minutes. I am not cancelling it manually in any way, I let it do it's thing, however it only DC's me after a couple of minutes has passed. EDIT: I even deleted everything related to it and downloaded the torrent again, to get "fresh" files, in case some got corrupted. Deleted the modified Interface folder and replaced it with the original one, in case it was a addon gone bad. I am lost for ideas. smokeit 26 Report post Posted January 30, 2017 Just reïnstall the game. I got a fibre connection, torrent is done in <5 mins, install on ssd, less than 5 mins. Used Revo Uninstaller to completely remove any reg keys or leftovers that might have been left behind.
