Existing 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 Hi, last night (like 8 hours ago) i got on the boat to reach the barrens from STV. Some guy was funny and mind controlled me immediately before the loading screen appeared . I got disconnected and since then i can't see my character anymore. I just see a blue screen and my interface. I can't logout and i can't use the auto unstuck feature, cause apparently i am "moving". I created a ticket in game but did not get any response to that so far. Since i cannot play at all i am getting a bit impatient. Would be great to get help this way if possible. smokeit 26 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 First of all, do you have pictures or a recording of the person doing it to you? That kind of griefing is not accepted and will result in a ban. Now, to get this solved will require you to get a warlock to summon you. I hope you got a nice guild which will do that for you, should take short. Most people play on PvP realms, you don't need to do anything other than be in proximity, and be of opposite faction to get MCed. It requires no actions from the one getting MCed. I don't know if a GM would ban someone for doing that, If I were GM I'd definately give someone a miniban for doing that the first time, heres why: "Using or exploiting errors in design, features, and/or bugs to gain access that is otherwise not available, to facilitate and/or grant you an advantage over other players." Now..there isn't any larger advantage than making someone not even be able to play the game. also: "However, behaviour that is considered to be contrary to the essence of the Game will be considered a violation of this agreement." Not because of using a spell my friend, but because of taking someone out of the game. This exploit could in some place also be use by portals in BGs. stage a battle there and MC out opposing teams healers to not only gain advantage, but to put that person out of their premade indefinately, until a GM came and got them out of limbo. Erjh8765 19 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 Well, considering that there are players who board a boat just to MC and then bug other players just for lulz, I'd say banning them for the offense and then permabanning them if they do it again is quite justified. Such players willfully, knowingly and deliberately abuse game bugs to grief other players. Holding MC through phasing to wait and see if the person gets bugged out, is not fine. Using the spell is fine, MCing someone anywhere is fine. Erjh8765 19 Report post Posted January 31, 2017 (edited) In Nostalrius, there were persistent offenders that used to do that in order to get others banned, as getting feared on the boat made you walk through the ship's bulkheads and this -in turn- got you banned by the anti-cheat system. A warlock in our guild got banned from the anti-cheat system after being fear-bugged on the boat, and it took him 15 days to get unbanned. Of course, we got the priest that did that to him banned too. So, if you enjoy doing that to ppl, know that there are other ppl with rogue or druid toons that get on a boat specifically in order to record a video of you fear-bugging others so that they can use it to get you banned.
