Financial Report -- Donations-- Mesh/Shenna

Recommended Posts

Can you please explain on the donation process. If we donate via paypal can this be used to renew the servers? I understand it is easier to donate the lump some but most people would be more willing if they could donate 10-20 each. With the thousands of playing a few dollars goes a long way.  The forum post/twitter feed say that you can donate option 2 via paypal but it doenst say what it goes toward. THe website says the paypal only goes to webhosting.  Can you please clarify this so that we may proceed to keep this great process going.

Thanks.

I appreciate your response but I see posts on the form saying they have used money from PayPal to purchase new servers before I am just wanting an official response from someone at Elysium that can clarify this I feel that getting and almost four hundred US dollar donation from one person so that thousands can play is unlikely. I also believe that if people could donate smaller increments they could probably fund the servers for years simply by people giving 5 to $10 each

The paypal donation is only for the website.

That's really stupid of them... I'd love to donate to keep Anathema up but I'm not willing to throw 310 euros just like that... I could imagine maybe like 30 or something but if I can't donate just a bit then I won't donate at all :/

As with nostalrius, they wanted people to make some groups and donate as a group to renew the servers, i guess thats the point aswell.

It was a way that the staff never had the money in their own hands, as said, i dont know if thats the case here.
