toniplavna 20 Report post Posted February 2, 2017 I got frequent errors 132 etc while alt tabbing and sometimes in game. Deleting WTF and WDB helped but not while alt tabing. Its memory could not be read... My PC is totally fine . So, is that cuz of the old client? Do you get those errors while alt tabbing ? Should I try repair.exe? On which version I ll get back after repairing?
Shiamorah 20 Report post Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) I do not have errors and I alt-tab frequently (I'm actually alt tabbed right this second). This has to be something specific to your computer/wow. Perhaps an addon misbehaving? Maybe a fresh install is necessary? Ellipsea 36 Report post Posted February 2, 2017 Error 132 is a catch all for all kinds of errors, but often it's video driver related and Nvidia related. Here's a bunch of crap I wrote over at Nostalrus about it. 10. Nvidia Video cards and error #132: here Also Nvidia video card specific crashes and errors: update the drivers...and....Go into your System settings, on the left column click on Advanced. Once in this new tab, look for "Graphics API" and set it to DirectX 9 check the user response at bottom of this page http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/the-instruction-at-0x01764b69-referenced-memory-at/e2df405a-a3e5-4bfc-8721-5aa7929cc5c7 or try this one Make sure you are operating as administrator in WoW: Right-click the Battle.net Desktop Application icon and select Properties. Select the Compatibility tab. Click Change settings for all users. Under Privilege Level, check Run this program as administrator. Click Apply. open up the config.wtf file in the WTF folder with notepad and if you have the line SET gxApi "d3d11" change it to: SET gxApi "d3d9" Error 132: Right click on wow.exe. Select> troubleshoot compatibility. Select> try recommended settings. Select> start the Program.
toniplavna 20 Report post Posted February 3, 2017 Well I have radeon. I had a problem with blues screen and atik.sys drivers failure but I resolved that, I rare get those in any game now. Im using: run as admin, i removed read only from wow folder and using disable display scaling and wow.exe properties. You cant use compatibility mode cuz if you log in game you get instant DC from this server. Thats a bug, everyone have it. But I dont need compatibility mode. I dont have gxapi line in my config. Thanks Ill download from the Shiamorah link and try it. Also Ill do chkdisk
Ellipsea 36 Report post Posted February 3, 2017 I don't know what bug you are referring to that everyone has. I've worked through different modes with lots of people until they found one that suited their configuration. But, if a new download works, great.
smokeit 26 Report post Posted February 3, 2017 Sounds like your computer isn't really that stable, a clean install would be best.
