Deviate Gang is an EU/NA semi-hardcore raiding guild which endeavours to provide a quality end-game experience to its players. Our ethos is the fostering of a community based on the values respect, friendship, fun and boss slaying. We offer experienced leadership, an immensely active discord full to the brim with banter, constant pre-BiS runs, MC weekends and a lot of Savory Deviate Delights.

The guild currently requires the most: 2 Holy Priests and 2 Warlocks.

But we could also use:  1 Restoration Shaman, 1 Restoration Druid.

Other classes may be considered.

Dude i hear this guild is super helpful at gearing and info about the game if you're lost on an objective or specific bosses.

No way! I always get elitist guilds that require you to know everything by level 1!

Nah, these guys are awesome and very helpful, even help you on quests sometimes!

Woah i need to join this guild!

First of all, this is super cringe worthy post.

I was the guilds first 60 and an officer. This guild was great before the server launch. Everyone was active. Everyone was helpful. I remember we only had one tank, Zanez (the guy that claimed "I did a run with this guild and the run went smoothly. Quality players." though he was there before the server even launched) and a handful of us helped him level with quests and gear through dungeons. I don't want to bash Zanez much, though he is one of the main reasons I left the guild. Apparently helping someone gear and level from 48+ isn't enough to get them to help you with things you need to get done yourself.

Moving along, I sat and farmed while helping people level to max and gear through BRD and LBRS. I took a five day break as I got frustrated at one point about trying to get geared yet only the core (which is now the new officer system : Adlib, Nt, Yagr, and non officer, Zanez) got geared. After about a week off and everyone catching up I decided to set up an MC raid! During the week, again, the new officer core (mentioned above) only wanted to help themselves with what THEY needed left in UBRS as drops and not helping others. I ended up helping the people that week that were pushing their hardest to hit 58+ so they could join the raid.

"Loot is distributed using DKP, except for Legendaries and quest weapons (priest staff and hunter bow).
Loot priority is MT > OT > Main Spec > Off Spec."

Our first raid they showed how much their clique mattered by handing might boots to Zanez without even any discussion or rolls. When I asked the other officers about it the respons was "It was spoken about" yet I had never heard about it. Apparently I was offline. Regardless, anyone can look at the BiS for prot warriors and see might boots are not as good as the Boots of Avoidance that Zanez already had. In fact they are a few down the list. Im sure one of the other tanks that we would need to progress could have used them but nah, let's gear our main clique warrior that has better boots first. He even whispered me during the raid and asked if he should equip them because they were a downgrade. Hilarious. Thats awesome loot distribution and knowledgable officers.

That is just one example of how loot works in this guild. The first MC run was with a group of our guild members and members from another guild to help fill the raid. They started accruing DKP before they were even using it for loot. They said the day before "we're not giving DKP until we have a full 40 man raid of pure guild." but DKP was given out despite that. At least one member had to fight to get 5 dkp that should have been given to him automatically while the clique sat a good 5-10 dkp above everyone else in the guild due to methods of gaining bonus DKP that were added with little warning.

I cannot speak badly of everyone in this guild though. I highly enjoyed and helped certain people level hoping they would join our ranks at 60 but it seemed more than a handful of us couldn't handle the new leadership and left. I stayed in contact while I silently played elsewhere but when others came to me with their problems I decided to make my voice heard to Ees, the co GM on why I left. Here was my post:

"Hey, just wanted to inform you that I am leaving the guild/horde and have already been playing alliance side(almost 60). I really liked what this guild was before the server launched but when you and Willy became nonexistent it started dying off.  I spoke to Nt and such about it and we had to do more. As soon as they were handed power they went from wanting to run people for BiS gear to only running what they needed left for drops. I could never get into a group for anything I needed done so I took a break for almost a week. I came back on one morning hoping it was just me getting frustrated with still needing gear to joing a group with them and again, only when it benefitted them, they wanted to do it. I shouldn't have to argue how it can help others by helping people gear. The guild didn't feel like a guild so I made my decision that day and left for good.

I still spoke to people over there but never told them what was going on with me on my end just to hear if it was happening. Well eventually two other members confronted me asking if I noticed. They then came to me with other issues such as: The EU raid times and how the guild has become more EU and US, the new institution of "we are 60 and wont wait for people to level and will recruit whatever to raid"....specially after I was told by Willy not long ago to just relax we will all get there (hypocritical viewpoint considering thats what is happening now), the fact they only want 20ish core members (this is just a way to control drops so that the core always gets loot first....thats fucking loot council which is what this guild was against), loot prioritization-MT>OT, MS>OS, this also goes against dkp and is literally the basic setup of any loot council (and they already fucked up loot raid 1 by using this system giving boots to zanez which is 3 steps lower on his BiS than what he had...they are just gearing their clique), I know you have heard from -censored- about the dkp but look who is sitting pretty up top, enough said there. People dont know why they are losing DKP and if you ARE NOT USING IT FOR DROPS THEN WHY ARE YOU COLLECTING IT YET.....stupid. A lot has changed and this is basically their guild now.

Again, this is not what I signed up for and I feel bad for the people I have been seeing leave the discord after messaging me about concerns. When I brought this up though it was me beating a mouthy bitch as Adlib said...great officer material there. I addressed concerned for other people because they didnt want to and I was an officer....they didnt care to hear it. If you still want this to be your guild you have to jump in and make changes. You are losing control."

Just be weary what you are signing up for.

Ok, Spaztik, chill out.
