Make so that a single email would be usable by multiple accounts if the original IP is the same for all of those and....

During the Elysium launch I already had ported my old Nost characters (both PvP and PvE), but had to insert a new email anyway cause the porting was working in this way (new empty account>porting).

But since I had to use those temporary email services it's obvious that I can't enable anymore the 2FA system on those accounts since I won't receive the email confirmations.

Can't you just add a "Change Email" option in the Control Panel and allow a single email to be used for multiple accounts if the IP is still the same?

Thanks!

Normally, I would be for this, but seeing the amount of hack reports that already come up I think it's best (for the Elysium team, more than anything) to not let this happen.  There are many people who are getting their accounts hacked and the only thing from stopping their accounts from being stolen is the fact that the hackers can't change their e-mail.  Sure, there are other things that could help prevent it, but we're talking about a volunteer project.  I don't know when you first made your account, but when you sign up it tells you explicitly that you cannot change your e-mail after you've created the account.  They have stressed using Gmail for a long time.

I don't see the harm in using the same e-mail on more than one account, though.

Do you know FOR A FACT that you still have the same IP? I doubt that. Most ISPs hand out IPs by DHCP meaning if you for some reason reboot your router or do anything to disrupt the IP-lease you'll probably be handed a new IP after the router boots up again. This all depends on lease-time and other factors ofcourse, either way it is highly unlikely that you'll have the same IP now that you had some 1-2 years ago.
