Erjh8765 19 Report post Posted February 22, 2017 You just got yourself hacked. Grats. Change password and enable 2FA to avoid getting hacked again. Instructions are in my profile's about me section. None of your gear (except quest items such as Rok Delar or Benediction) and none of your gold will be restored. Make a ticket to get back quest items but make sure to include link to realmplayers proving that you had them.

qbradq 0 Report post Posted February 22, 2017 @Jackdead I am sorry to hear about your account :( As poorly as it was presented Erjh8765's statements are accurate :( Here are some tips to make sure you don't get hacked again: Use a very secure password and two-factor authentication for the email account that is associated to your game account. Gmail offers two-factor authentication for free and works well with the Elysium systems. Use a different password for your game account. This is absolutely critical. If your game account and linked email account share the same password and either one of those gets compromised then the hacker can simply turn off your two-factor authentication. Enable two-factor authentication for your game account in the Elysium control panel. If you take these three steps it is very difficult for an attacker to compromise your account. They would have to: Guess your game account name Compromise your game account password Guess the email address linked to the game account Compromise your email password Break your email provider's two-factor authentication - typically by: Guessing your phone provider Guessing your phone number Guessing your real name Calling your phone provider and using social engineering to get your SIM Certainly this can be done and has been done numerous times to public figures. But it's the best defense you have for your WoW account, and anything else online.
Xerox 4 Report post Posted February 27, 2017 Greetings! The account owner is responsible for the security of the account and that it's sufficiently protected. Note that Elysium staff does not recover hacked accounts. Elysium staff will not recover any lost or deleted characters, regardless of circumstances. Game items such as experience, gold or equipment that you have lost through accident, very rare failure of the server, or otherwise, cannot be restored Regards GM Team
