Honor system

Hi guys, help me please, I don't understeand this honor system.
Usually i take ~15k honor and take 1 rank, but in last week i farming and take 48k, and again take 1 rank (5 rank).
Am I right, that I can up only 1 rank per week? And it is true, where is spent the rest of Honor?

There is nothing as 1 rank per week. For each rank you need 5k rank points. Don't forget about the decay which is 20%.

The rank points you earn each week depends on your standing on the server, means how much honor points you've earned compared to the highest player.

So if you're rank 5, means you have total 15000 RP. So you'll need to farm atleast 15k*20% = 3k rank points (decay) just to maintain your rank 5 else you lose it.

As you progress, you'll need much more farm & weeks.

does this mean that u'll have to be a no-life having bum, just like the top players who play 10 hours a day, in order to get PvP gear? I work a 9-5 and simply dont have that much time to play WoW...

Yes you need to be that way. until r9-r10 you can do 4-5h/day & full weekends grind. After that you'll need premades & 10h+/day of grind. That's vanilla wow PvP.

Horde premade is more like 16hr a day even sometime they do 24hr+

In last week i have standing 123 and rank 7.
For this I received 3%!!!
3% for 123 standing, rly?!

With a low playing pool standing 123 is not great, see post above, alot of your honor went away with decay.
