Please help, account stolen/hacked

Hello, as the title says today (just a moment ago) when I logged on to my character I noticed it had been compromised.

I've lost 207g I think it was. All my travelers backpack, all my pre bis healing gear (have proof from realmplayers) all my enchanting mats which was quite alot. I have almost nothing to my name anymore. I am so devastated and saddened about this, and I hope there is a way you can "revert" this and help me, I've spent so much time gearing this character and everything.

I don't have the 2factor authentication because I tried to set it up but I couldnt get it to sync / work. I know in a way it's my own fault but if it didn't work, what can I do about it?

I changed the password now, and gonna try and get the authenticator working again. Is there please anything you can do to help me?

Yeah well, we 're sorry, but authenticator works for pretty much everyone else and their little sister, so the fail is yours.

Try setting up the authenticator with Win AUth for Windows. Instructions are in my profile's "about me" section.

As a matter of policy, only quest items will be restored.

Make a ticket in game including realmplayers screenshot to get quest items restored.

Somehow this feels strange aswell as I noticed some items for some reason has been left untouched, the gear I was equipped with is still there (would have been a few gold to sell that aswell) some of my mats are still left and the interesting part is what my MoneyFU addon shows, take a look at it http://imgur.com/a/svt5K look at the "This Session" and "Today" they both show that no gold has been gained or lost for yesterday it only shows a 14g loss and the whole week shows that I should be with 56 g in other words, how can the gold be missing if it doesnt show the gained/spent ?

 

Also for some reason some enchanting mats and other stuff has been left alone aswell http://imgur.com/a/zaoC2 take a look at it.

 

Is it possible there has been some kind of "mistake" or something that has caused this? Is it something you could look into?

Even if you lost your shit due to a server hiccup, policy is they still won't restore. Read TOS.

Hackers are in a hurry when pwning ppl's accounts. Not sure why. Prolly the longer they stay in ppl's accnts, the greater the risk for them.

So is anyone from the team reading this? Would be nice to get some "clarification" I understand that if the policy is that you don't get back anything, which is a shame, but it is what it is I guess. How about the quest items? I am missing Fordring's Seal fro example. Does the team read this?

The account owner is responsible for the security of the account and that it's sufficiently protected. Note that Elysium staff does not recover hacked accounts.

Elysium staff will not recover any lost or deleted characters, regardless of circumstances.

I'm interested in how you may have been hacked. General questions here:

1. Have you used the same password or username on any other private server before? Which one(s)?

2. Was it a simple password or did it Adhere to strong password principles? (At-least: one capital letter, one numeric, one special character? 8+ characters in length?)

3. Did you download any add-ons from this forum or from another site?

Feel free not to answer any of the above, but I'm interested in what may be going on with all the hacked accounts as oppose to simply dismissing it as having used the same password/username as some other server.

ALSO, he only says they do not recover lost accounts or deleted characters. I still have access to both the char and account. Got 2FA working now and have changed the password.

This post was never about a account or char being lost. Was this not clear enough from the original post? Never did I get a confirmed answer on gear and specifically quest items that was lost...

But there's a difference between losing items due to server issues and getting hacked. And they're all: "Account security is your responsibility!! You'll get nothing back ever never!". That's pretty much in the tou. :)

I forgot to include the following in my answer:

 

Game items such as experience, gold or equipment that you have lost through accident, very rare failure of the server, or otherwise, cannot be restored. 

 

I hope this answers your question.

Yes in a way. Sorry if it's just me nog getting it. But does this mean then that quest items aswell do not get recovered as I was told on discord that they can be recovered (which also is what terms of use say)

Let me clarify on the restoration of your quest items.

According to our ToU:

Unique quest items or keys can be restored with sufficient evidence that the player had previously obtained them.

Raid items with the rarity of Epic and above can be restored in the case of a server crash/roll-back, providing an in-game ticket is sent to us which fulfills the conditions below

 

a. Exact date of the raid;

b. Video of complete encounter which also shows the raid ID, loot and complete list of raid members;

c. Name of the player who received or should have received the item.

 

Restoration of any item is always at the discretion of Elysium staff. Falsified information will lead to immediate account closure.

 

The main problem for you will be to provide sufficient evidence to your claim, however you are free to try and appeal for your items.

Hey, thank you for the clarification. Only "proof" I have of me having done the quest "In dreams" which gives you "fordrings seal" is of a screenshot from my char on realmplayers (before the account compromise). I'm not sure but shouldn't GM's be able to somehow see if a quest is done for a certain character? That's the only item atm that I can think of that I could actually (by your terms of use) be able to get back, and I guess I'll just have to settle with that. Thank you in advance
