Ali 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2017 After this time the server down for 1-2 days around Mar 14, 2017, considering it is not a technical issue, I strongly advise mgmt team change a better the server provider. Here is the reason: 1. I assumed OVH didnt communicate with our contact person in advance, coz Shenna is shocked as us players when server down. 2. Where is OVH's client server team? did they confirm the reason why charge back the payment? Hv u ever received any emails or calls from OVH about this? 3. Why they can just shut down the server without any announcement to user? They cant reach out u guys? what about the losing data? 4. Fraud list? WTF are you talking? We will pay you if you told us we have overdue bills, its obvious OVH's fault. 5. Negative reaction and lengthiness feedback. I think OVH have already made enough money and have no respect for their client. This kind of shit company can not survive more than 5mins in US or China. And one more suggestion for our mgmt team, funding enough donation in advance. Vanilla players are generous, we hv players from NA, EU, CN and somewhere else, do your job and do not worry about the money, to feed one legacy server need everyone's contribution, and dont let it happen again plz. We are here for you, to bring us a wonderful legacy servers. Thanks for your effort!
Emptora 17 Report post Posted March 14, 2017 Obviously you don't understand how business in general works. 1.) I'm astounded that OVH will even host the servers given the legality of the project. 2.) They only did what any business would do. If you ran a business and someone gave you 2000 dollars, and then took it out from under you, what would you do? Keep providing said service until they give you the appropriate compensation? All while hoping and praying they pay you... sometime soon? or would you cut the cord and say "you want it? come pay"? Yeah I'm pretty sure they did what any provider would do. I feel that given the amount of money involved, we're lucky they didn't yank all 4 servers down. That to me says they had some faith in the project to get them funded rather soon. And fraud? Yeah, basically its not too far off. In most countries knowingly bouncing a check or purposely charging back a transaction is a criminal offense listed in the fraud category. I haven't seen any allegations by OVH for this. But if you want to get technical... 2 hours ago, Ali said: And one more suggestion for our mgmt team, funding enough donation in advance. They've done this. That is why there is a thread about it...
