wondr 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2017 Purchased a new phone. Downloaded good authenticator. Went to old email from elysium and scanned barcode. Went to settings and synced time. Tried MULTIPLE times to get the code to work, it would not (So I could turn off ip lock authenticator and verify it was working on my new phone.) I then tried on my friends phone to see if it was an IOS problem, with the android i am experiencing the same problem, and my old phone was an android which worked with no problem when i initially set up the 2FA. I am concerned because while I do have access to my account now I will eventually get locked out of my account if i ever log in from a different pc or if something else happens that triggers the ip lock to engage, Any advice? Thanks!
Amberwaal 5 Report post Posted March 29, 2017 This is the correct way of restoring your 2FA. Please make sure that the authenticator reports the "account" as "Elysium Project (USERNAME)" Is there any possibility that you have had more than one setup of 2FA from Elysium, and that you have scanned the wrong QR code now?
wondr 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2017 (edited) Yes, It does say "Elysium Project (Username)" I am using the most recent email for the 2FA set-up on Elysium. It has to be the one as my account has active 2Fa and that is the most recent email. Edited March 29, 2017 by wondr
