well, if i know what's wrong, and what broke, and what i will have to do to repair it, and whether i have the part on stock or need to order it, i can give at least a REASONABLE WINDOW OF ESTIMATE as to the time it could take "up to x" or "not longer than y" type of thing. so, your passive aggressive, smart ass implication here is preeeeeeeeettty ignorant. no one saying they arent working hard or any of that, just saying some attempt even a rough or wide margin estimate would be nice to give people just for the purpose of knowing if you might as well resign to not checking back for the day or w/e
