Question about PvP ranks

How do the PvP ranks work in vanilla? Can you only gain one rank per week or is it possible to skip some ranks if you get the right amount of honourable kills? Thankyou

You can skip, but it's not just HKs, its overall honor. GL skipping at higher ranks, tho.
