New to Server few questions ..please

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am very new to Elysium ( 2 days )  .. Also this is the first time I made a toon on a Legacy private server . I have started the game in 2006 during the Van to BC Expac for live .So I have a few questions, I would be grateful if anyone would have the answers too .

I am on the Server Zeth'Kur PvP .

I have noticed on world chat , many talking of a transfer option being introduced soon to the game . and players/guilds on the server I am on, mentioning they will be transferring .. Is this a dieing server or inactive or something ? I  noticed the time zone is way off from the USA ..which is were I live .

I mainly made a toon on PS like this to hopefully find a cool active guild again .. because as we know Legions ( live ) is just que and solo now , which killed guild activity and collaboration compared to past expansions ..  Which to me  broke that MMO feel. I have always been one of the most active members in the guilds I have been in over the years , And I been missing that .

Plus.. old time world pvp etc , defending city's from ally/horde .. helping a lower getting ganked .. Pve I am not concerned about because I know thats always active even on Live .. But I find pvp overall took a backseat on Live , and was wondering how it is here , And on what servers .

But anyways here are some questions I have ..

For a transfer ..what is the cost ?

Is PvP active ?, I realize this depends on the server , I enjoy structured pvp ( bgs, arena ) as well as world pvp .. So far the few days I been playing .. I haven't seen any world pvp on world defense channel , and when I qued for the first time for WSG I was in que for 45 minutes and it never popped . I am only lvl 10 atm , and I am sure that was part of the reason . But any feedback how overall pvp is on Elysium would be great ..

Is there any USA based PvP servers ? This is a concern for time zones , and being active with a Guild /Players on server . because as we know soloing things during Vanilla is no joke .lol

I have also noticed too in the game that when I whos a city like  Stormwind to see the amount the players .. its lists hundreds of them ( 50 show) and 900 in brackets , but when I go there I only see about 10 players ? same with areas like gold shire or the forest it  showed many players , but when I got to GS , I saw about 2 others .. no dueling etc .

In short I am wondering if most are just interested in Pve like it is on live , I know I am a very low lvl and have not experienced how it is in STV and other zones , as far as wpvp goes .

Any feedback on these topics would be great . I have tons more , but I don't want to bore everyone .lol .

Thanks

1. Transfer is free.

2. Don't que at lvl 10.... just don't.

3. Pre 60 BGs have long queues, unless it's a WSG or AB weekend. At 60, ally queues are almost instant. Problem with ally BGs are that you are either a part of a premade or you WILL lose. Ally pugs are incredibly bad, worse than in retail.

4. World PVP is certainly alive and well....if you are Horde. If you are ally, prepare to be killed constantly in most areas. You need lots of patience to lvl an ally toon.

5. At lvl 10, you are playing in ally zones, so horde does not go there and therefore you are not seeing any world pvp. Duskwood, Ashenvale and Redridge will be your first pvp zones, and really only Ashenvale has a decent mix if both factions. Once you hit STV, you'll have more pvp than you can handle, trust me. Try to quest in a group.

6. There are no US servers. This is a good thing, as they would be shut down. However, there is a tonn of US players and finding ppl to play with is not an issue at all. Also, Elysium has about 5 times the pop of ZK, keep that in mind. ZK is pretty dead at this point.

The above info is for the Elysium server, btw. GL.

They merge your server with elysium soon so now your chance to lvl in peace as much as possible. Or you can just transfer to pve server and forget about world pvp at all.

ahh yes , I wish I started on Pve and then transfer to PvP once 60. I did meet a few pvp 60s that loves wpvp and said they would come with me if  I am getting ganked .lol So will see how it goes .
