1) The "solo BRD" spec

After i saw severals videos of rogues farming BRD, i wanted to give it a try (especially for killing Pyromancer Loregrain).

I made that spec, aiming at maximum stealth (for pickpocket on the go), fastest movement (lot of walk in stealth), and lot of solo survivability and combo generation ("setup" combining with "ghostly strike" and "lightning reflexes").

The goal was to kill something fast enough for then vanish, and doing it again without waiting too much, thanks to "preparation".

It totally failed : my rogue is just an alt, with only green leveling gear. I just can't kill anything fast enough before i need to vanish.

Also, pickpocketing a ton of mobs is fun the first minute, then become a chore, and the rare spawn around 1 time on 10 resets, making me usually locked out.

I droped the idea.

 

2) The "i don't want to die" spec

This time, i try to get "dusty tomes" from DM (i never saw any so far on Darrowshire... i hope they do exist ^^).

There's no way i can solo any of these packs, so i go naked, with only a pair of LW boots with +stealth and speed enchant.

My point is doing a quick scouting, and asking for help if i find a tome (the help is usually just another player that can aggro and flee while i loot, or the opposite if he don't have a way to reset aggro).

So far, DME seem impossible : the bigs trees make my stealth disapear (is it a bug ?), i can't pass them... until i got that spec idea : the point is to gouge/blind them, go enough away to make their antistealth thing irrelevant, and vanish. And repeat. Kinda tedious as soon as there is more than 2 of them in a row (and there is, iirc).

DMW seem very easy to scout (as long as you don't go in the zone with invisible mobs), but i haven't see any tome in around 20 runs.

DMN is easy too (also, no tome in several runs).

 

3) your spec

Do you use some peculiar spec for certain situation too ?

Me and my friend are Dual leveling Rogues together and we did a backstab crit build for leveling, pvp and fun ofcourse. I backstab then he backstabs then I backstab and so on.

this one http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#fhe0oxZGcZEMecM0o was working quite good for me ( BRD pick pocket runs + some pvp) till they nerfed pick pocket, since im a dagger rogue and got some MC gear, was pretty fun.
