Out of country, character transfered away from guild in merger

Recommended Posts

I've been away for work for the past month, and I just came back and saw that the transfers came and went. My guild & IRL friends went to Elysium, and I guess my character got shipped to Anathema, which truly is the darkest timeline :'(

Is there any chance of getting a one-off character transfer? It's my only character. And my only friends.

Even if the announcement was made 3 or 4 months in advance, there'd still be people creating forum threads asking for an exception.

I've been out of the country for work, so didn't have a chance to talk to them. I would have passed login info over if I had known :(

The thing is that the transfers WERE announced months in advance.. and the official statement from a community rep was that elysium would be the default... then 2 weeks prior to the merge it was flopped over to Anathema :(

I think we will see a lot of cases like this where people will want to transfer to Elysium, which was the correct choice in the first place. I understand Anathema is dying too and needs some population influx, but this isnt the way to do it.. no one who was leveling up on ZethKur is going to be excited when they come back and see they are on a completely different timeline with characters that are 2-3 years old.. they are just going to stop playing and we will bleed more of our community :(

Perhaps now that there is a proof of concept on being able to do successful character transfers, it could be a paid service that is only allowed once per account, to help fund the project? That is the only way I can see keeping the community members who ended up on anathema. Hopefully something can happen, thanks for all of your hard work guys and I understand if nothing comes of this, but I think it would be a really good idea to keep the project going strong. Thanks for your time <#
