Item removed when server updated

So I logged in now in the evening and I saw that my head, Dragonskin Cowl was removed in the update. So now suddenly I am here without a head and need to farm for a new one. Mostly wondering if there was any information about this or if I get compansated for losing it.

I read that they will be looking at options for players that had items that were mistakenly introduced too early. I would wait and be patient for an official announcement on this.
