Guild name: <Focus>

Guild Description: If you are a raider, a potential new recruit, or just stopping by, welcome! <Focus> is a PvE progression and PvP guild based in Elysium PvP. We are a group of experienced, dedicated, and mature individuals focused on having an enjoyable World of Warcraft: Vanilla experience. Our guild will progress through end-game raid content, form regular pre-mades for battlegrounds, and participate in world player versus player events. Simultaneously, we work together to achieve guild goals.

We are currently recruiting players level 50+. We are not a rigidly hardcore guild, but we take the experience seriously without sacrificing fun. Consider <Focus> if you want a serious, enjoyable, and committed guild with a solid core and stable leadership.

Discord: https://discord.gg/3ExUHF2

Raid Schedule:

  • Wednesday 20:00-00:00 CST (0300-0700 Server Time)
  • Monday 20:00-00:00 CST (0300-0700 Server Time)

Raid Progression:

  • Molten Core (10/10)
  • Onyxia Lair (1/1)
  • Blackwing Lair (8/8)

Guild Expectations:

  • Positive, dedicated, and focused attitude
  • Friendly and helpful demeanor
  • Representing <Focus> with good intentions
  • Putting the guild first for the guild's success

Guild Member Ranks: The structure that makes up the basic hierarchy of our guild includes Socials/Trials, Raiders, Cores, Class Leaders, Officers, Leaders and Admins. Any player interested in joining <Focus> must submit an application by talking to our leadership. To do so, just message any Leader or Officer in-game. Upon approval of entry into <Focus> you are given two paths: A Social/Trial or a Raider.

Trial: New <Focus> members who desire to raid with us, as well as current <Focus> trials who cannot make our scheduled raid times, can help the guild progress when needed. Trial Raiders will have the lowest priority for loot council decisions while still being fairly considered for epic tier loot. This is less demanding and requires less consistent raid attendance; however, if you wish to promote to Raider, you must then be willing to meet the requirements of Raider.

*Raider Rank Requirements: The Raider rank will be awarded to individuals who exhibit a variety of positive attributes including but not limited to: knowledge of raid mechanics, punctuality, raid performance, attitude, and preparation. Your attitude and performance will also be qualitatively evaluated by our leadership. You will have a higher loot council prority than trials, but lower compared to Cores. The following prerequisites are required for the Raider Rank:

  • 50% buffs/consumables/enchants (during progression)
  • 80%+ pre-raid BIS gear
  • 80%+ Attendance and being on time for raids and buffs
  • Nomination and approval by a general consensus from the leadership

*Core Rank Requirements: This prestigious rank will require a promotion from the previous rank of Raider and is only for those most dedicated to <Focus>. You will need to demonstrate exceptional quality as a skilled and committed raider and as a member that best reflects <Focus> values. You must have the same requirements as a Raider to become a Core Raider. Your consideration for this position will undergo the highest scrutiny by the Leaders and Officers. Loot consideration is the highest in comparison to other ranks. Promotion is ultimately decided by the leadership once the requirements have been met.

Class Leader: Class Leaders are responsible for ensuring each member of your class is appropriately geared, spec'ed, and are a member on the guild Discord for raids. Furthermore, Class Leaders will be required to provide immediate input for loot considerations to help loot distribution go smoothly and quickly. Class Leaders are expected to meet the standards of a Core Raider, while being active and available to improve the knowledge and performance of their class members. Class Leaders shouldn't be raid loggers, for example. Promotion is ultimately decided by the leadership.

Officer: Officers are responsible for running the guild and the loot council. Officers also set guild standards and make sure the guild is reaching goals that they have put forth. The Officers are experienced and lead by example. They also share the same responsibilities to Class Leaders. They are expected to meet the standards of a Core Raider, while being active and available to improve the knowledge and performance of their class members. Officers shouldn't be raid loggers, for example. Being Officers, they show a great deal of empathy and honesty to all members of the guild. If you need help, just ask them! Promotion is ultimately decided by the Leaders.

Leader: Leaders are responsible for leading the guild and the loot council. The Leaders are experienced and lead by example. They are driven by their conviction and always make sure that everyone, including themselves, are treating every guild member fairly.

Admin: Admins deal with a lot of the behind the scenes things such as setting up guild events, settling internal disputes, and maintaining the guild's discord channel. If you have any questions or concerns, bring them up with the admins. They're here to assist!

*Earning a Raider or Core Raider Rank will guarantee you a position in the raid roster in comparison to Trials

Member Expectations: You are responsible for your own actions. Certain actions and speech are not allowed in the guild. You will slowly get an idea of what actions and speech are/aren't allowed after being with the guild for some time. Our raid, discord, and guild chat environments may contain harsh language and jokes, but we strive for a mature environment. You must also be open to receiving constructive criticism from both the leadership and your fellow guild mates. We like to help each other out! This may include comments on your spec, enchants, gear choices, etc. We try to maintain an enjoyable gaming environment, but if you are easily offended, then this guild is not for you.

If you take issue with a particular member's actions or speech, ignore them and report it to a guild Admin. If you are causing issues, you will be given no fewer than one official reprimand, which may include a demotion in rank. You may, however, be notified that any further transgression will result in a Gkick. You have been warned. We are fair, honest, and consistent, however, we will not tolerate any form of malicious hostility, manufacturing of drama, bitterness or resentment between members, or any other form harassment or unwise behavior. We can all have a bit of fun, but some things won't be tolerated. Your willingness, or unwillingness, to comply will be noted.

<Focus>'s official policy and stance is to abide by the terms of service of the Elysium Project. goo.gl/Egr8q5 - Go there to acquaint yourself with the guidelines.

This includes several important things:

  • Do not buy gold.
  • Do not sell gold.
  • Do not profit from playing this game.
  • Do not exploit (PvP, duping, GM corruption, win trade, etc.)

You do any of this at your own risk, and <Focus> does not condone any behavior that contravenes the official terms of service.

Policy on active/inactive and leaves of absences: After 30 days of inactivity, you will be removed from <Focus>. If you'd like to request an extended leave of absence (weeks to months), talk to our leadership and we'll work something out.

Loot Distribution System: Loot will be distributed through a Loot Council system. Class Specific and Multi-class loot will be distributed by the Class Leaders, Officers, and Leaders. The Leaders, Officers, and Class Leaders are permanent loot council members. The guild's loot council system is meant to be both fair and rewarding. Those who put in contributions, effort, and loyalty to ensure the guild's success are more likely to be selected for a piece of loot. Furthermore, the guild will be keeping track of attendance, timeliness, and consumable usage on a spreadsheet to help expedite the selection process. Donations to the guild bank do not influence the selection process, but they are welcome.

The manner in which loot is distributed is affected by rank. Each raid member will be receiving a piece of epic tier loot until all raiders of the class of interest have their own piece. But, a higher valued item is more likely to go to, for example, a Core Raider over a Raider. This guarantees that each member is receiving loot consistently while also rewarding those who dedicate themselves to the guild. This is known as Symmetric Distribution. We avoid "stacking" specific members. The distribution is meant to be fair and balanced. Greed does not characterize any of our leadership and certainly won't be tolerated among any of our members.

Raider Expectations:

  • Attend raids regularly and consistently
  • Be on time
  • Download Discord and join our raiding channel (You don't have to use mic, but be able to listen). https://discord.gg/3ExUHF2
  • Be positive, pay attention, listen to your raid leader, stay focused
  • Bring your consumables. You are welcome to share with fellow members, but are not required to
  • If you're going to be late or absent, let an Officer or Leader know and post in the Discord's #attendance text channel indicating your absence
  • Do not join another guild's raid or a pug unless you have prior authorization. We need you to attend <Focus> raids for progression purposes. If you willingly and neglectfully remove yourself from being eligible to attend our specific Raid ID, then why are you even in this guild? Ask an Officer or Leader before you join a pug. If you cannot make a normally scheduled raid, then make sure you indicate that in the appropriate Discord text channel and only after which you will be allowed to join a different raid. Failure to do so will result in you losing loot council consideration, losing your rank, and losing your membership in this guild, in that escalating order
  • Be respectful of everyone's time. Please be ready and attentive during raids. Your cooperation and attentiveness is all that's required to complement new and evolving strategies and policies

Do you have an website to post an application?

You can PST a member of the leadership, we don't really have an application process but rather a conversation/interview.

Not level 50+ yet, I just started on the private server. But wanted to give a heads up when I do hit 50+ I got my eyes on your guild. I'll be playing a paladin.

Not trying to puff my feathers, just to give you an idea of what I can bring once I meet your requirements :)

I have a lot of experience back from Vanilla all the way to present. Highest raid completed during Vanilla was MC as a furry warrior.

I also reached rank 7 in PvP and lead PvP teams back in Vanilla on my warrior.

Looking forward to talking with your guild!
