Beornir 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2017 Hello everyone, I just got a new laptop (MSI Leopard Pro with a GeForce GTX 1060) but i'm using an external monitor (Samsung S24D300), but sadly, when i try to change the resolution in-game i only get 4 options (800x600/1024x768/1280x1024/1600x1200), which are none of my native resolution (1920x1080) both in my laptop and monitor. Also, i can't change my refresh rate. I tried to duplicate screens and i was able to get it to 1920x1080 (Wide). I then proceed to turn my laptop monitor off, and as expected my external monitor image got screwed up . I restarded the game and the resolution issue came back. I already searched a bit about this problem and i found some info saying this issue got fixed in TBC and i already tried to change the resolution in the config file. Sadly, it didn't work. Anyone else with this problem? Know how to solve it? Help :) Cheers.

Beornir 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2017 I already did that, the problem is the aspect ratio as you can see here: Is there a way to make it 16:9?
Knife 2 Report post Posted July 16, 2017 IIRC you should manually add 1920x1080 resolution to your primary monitor (the laptop one, or whichever one u have set as monitor #1) in graphic card options for wow to be able to run in 1920x1080 resolution on your second monitor. For nvidia cards this is done in nvidia control panel -> display -> change resolution -> select monitor #1 -> customize -> create custom resolution -> type X and Y values and save them. For other graphic cards you might wanna google/explore for yourself. Note: your 1st monitor doesn't have to run in this 1920x1080 resolution for wow to figure out it can switch to 1920x1080 it just has to have it as an option. Hope this helps.
