Guest Report post Posted July 24, 2017 Along the same lines of this Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/ElysiumProject/comments/6p7qtw/people_using_the_github_as_a_forum_can_this_be/ There's quite a few extraneous entries in the Github Issues list - lots of duplicates, older Issues that have already been fixed, not-actual-bug reports and issues that do next to nothing to actually demonstrate a problem. Would it be possible to organize a group of people to run through all the existing issues and update what's there and either flag them for closure via whatever metric is relevant per issue? Having the Github be free of these things would surely make the work of the open source contributors a lot easier. Additionally, I'd recommend more tightly moderating the Github to ensure that reports being made are actually contributing in a meaningful way overall. Yes, there will be people who post issues that don't know better, but right now they remain out there and bloat the list of things that actually need addressing needlessly.
