How to "upvote" issues in the github bug tracker?

Recommended Posts

I remember this being a feature on the old bug tracker - you could upvote issues so that critical issues had more visibility. Now, I don't see this feature, and very bad issues that affect a lot of players or the economy heavily are lost in the sea of 100's of random reported bugs. For example, the black lotus issue that has been in the tracker for weeks still hasn't gotten a reply or look from the Elysium team. I hear many players vouching for this issue in game, so to me it seems like one of the most critical issues right now (right up there with the un'goro crystal spawns issue).

Is there a way to upvote issues in the github bug tracker, or another way to bring more visibility to them?

The developers both in-house and open source are fairly well aware of the priorities. Unfortunately they have to allocate their time. It's a balancing act between many calls on their time. For example, some might be worried about the Black Lotus and others just don't care. <--example, not actual.

There is also that some fixes need further investigation and testing. We have had a few episodes of fixes released that actually don't, or cause other effects.  It MAY be better for the developers to fix 50 trivial bugs than one big one "this week", but that's a guess. Usually it is a big fix or more with added smaller ones.

I do know that the priorities are flexible, but there is no room, IMO, for an up voting system. However, that's my opinions.

If you feel stingily about this, the suggestions forum is the place for this type of request.
