I was banned a long time ago for seemingly no reason

I started playing towards launch and stopped playing after being abruptly banned for seemingly no reason. I recall trying to troubleshoot it a bit, as lots of people had posted about randomly being banned, but didn't find a solution and gave up.

I'd really like to start playing this game with my girlfriend now, and while I could make a new account, I'd definitely rather have access to my old characters! Can anyone help?

Honestly, come on.. We do not ban people for "no reason". There is always a reason. It may be wrong.  However, ban appeals.
