Rogue build?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

I'm pretty new with the vanilla mechanics and i really dont understand about the build construction on the game, i only got some experience with other games.

Well, i just want to got a rogue build like this one: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#f0ecoZMhEz0VzxbZxMh

so, what you guys think about this build i've made? i wanna a combat rogue with some subtlety, so guys, help me please for that i can improve this build.

note, the subtlety is only for hiding, pickpocketing and escaping.

Honestly man it all depends on what you want to play. If you are just PVE to level faster combat swords is your best bet. The only thing that really bugs me about this talent build is why no Adrenaline Rush? That is your bread and butter for a combat rogue. Faster energy regen = quicker combo stacks = quicker dead.

I forgot to mention to look into Oto's Rogue Guide at the top of this sub forum. He has a lot of useful information for rogue builds.

BTW this is my personal build for my rogue http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#fheboxZGoVbbVzxfo. It is a pure PVE focus with very little world PVP bonuses to it. You wont be killing players too fast with it but in raids/dungeons my DPS is great. Cheers!

So, i want a hybrid pvp/pve build, i like both of them... i was wondering if would work fists weapons spec, i kinda like them and they got some crit. What do you think about that? using the fists weapons for my rogue?

Thanks for your build. I gonna try balance some things, i'm just levelling yet, thanks.

The only reason to go for a Fist Weapon spec would be to support a particular (presumably end game) (pair of) Fist Weapon(s).  You'll note that the itemization of Fist Weapons in the game is ... a short list:

http://db.vanillagaming.org/?items=2.13

Furthermore, there aren't a whole lot of really GOOD Fist Weapons in that list that are particularly suited towards what a Rogue needs from their weapons.  Exceptions to that rule would include the Primal Blessing set from Zul'Gurub, or scoring a pair of Hurd Smashers for yourself so you can proc lots of 2 second knockdowns.

The downside to using Fist Weapons is that they're "fast" like Daggers, they use a completely different talent than Daggers in the Combat tree (so no real overlap) for +1% chance to critically hit per talent point, and you can't use Ambush or Backstab with Fist Weapons.
