Frostbolter 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2017 Hi, I am an English player (wai guo ren) but I would also like to see text to communicate with Chinese players. Currently it comes up as blank. Any way to have Chinese and English encoding in the game?
aomiawech 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2017 (edited) Hi The simple answer Download this file and use Winrar to extract the Fonts folder, put the Fonts folder into your WOW directory. see download link below. https://1drv.ms/f/s!AtVUoeKBpZZQf9YVJXgIobaioNs The long answer If you don't like the Font style (text writing style). Here is a way how you can choose the Font style and be able to see both English and Chinese. Step 1. Open windows start menu, search "fonts". look for "Fonts" folder, open it, inside it, look for a chinese font style. open it to see the font style. it usually(always) contain enligsh writings. Decided which font you want to use. Note that each font style have different spacings between their english letters, this will have a effect in-game, e.g if the spacing is too big, you may not able to able to see the full text in game because the text become too long to display in the in-game window. Step 2. Goto your WOW game directory, create a "Fonts" fold if you haven't already. Folder name "Fonts" must have capital "F" Step 3. Copy the font style file you have choosen in step 1 into the "Fonts" folder you just made in step 2. Make 4 copies, rename them and each to "ARIALN.ttf" "FRIZQT__.ttf" "MORPHEUS.ttf" "SKURRI.ttf" respectively. Note that the ".ttf" is the extention of the file. If you are unable to save, or don't know how extention files work, please google abit. Now you be able seeing chinese in game. If you want to see more chinese, there is also a chinese chat channel /join china Hope this message will still gets to you haha. which ever server you are at now. +_@ Edited October 24, 2017 by aomiawech
