Some General Questions about Nighthaven

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to reach out and ask a few questions. I've been playing on another realm for a while and a few things bother me about that environment but I'm hesitant to re-roll if the issues are not going to be solved. Please give me honest answers. I get that this is a labor of love for many and there is a certain passion involved. It's close to the chest for many in the community and on the team here at Elysium. I just want some legitimate feedback here, that's all.

  1. Mob Behavior - I've seen plenty of mobs on my current realm 'tweak out' for lack of a better word when a ranged player and a melee player attack the same mob at the same time and the ranged player has aggro. It's almost like the mob wants to attack both of us simultaneously. Is this an issue on Nighthaven?
  2. Pathing Issues - My girlfriend who's playing is a Hunter and her cat tweaks out from time to time trying to get the mob. It will run to where the mob was rather than where the mob is, try to attack, then go to where it's at currently. It's not extremely common but definitely a behavior that deters her from the Hunter experience. Is this an issue on Nighthaven?
  3. Gold Spammers - This actually isn't an issue at all on my current server, but I've seen some things in the FAQ section around here and some complaints about it. How bad is this exactly? Is this to the point where we'll have to download an anti-spam chat addon? (I'm not opposed to it if the other issues are not a problem, but it's certainly a con)
  4. Respec Costs - On my current realm, respec costs are capped at 10 to encourage more PVP presence which I actually think is a great change and motivates the PVE crowd to get their hands dirty in WSG/AB/AV. Is this the case on Nighthaven, or is something similar offered.
  5. Fresh Start = Horrible NPC Spawn to Quester Ratio - This is actually my number one concern. What dynamic spawn rate are you using if any? To the players of the realm I ask you, do you have any horror stories over the last few days and how bad exactly was it? My current realm is well established and has been for some time. I know y'all have Stratholm which I may opt to go to if this is a big case, but then the same questions above will apply to Stratholm so this is the wrong thread for that unless any of you have experience there.

I know it's a little TL:DR but I'd appreciate any feedback here.

Thank you!

  3. Gold Spammers - This actually isn't an issue at all on my current server, but I've seen some things in the FAQ section around here and some complaints about it. How bad is this exactly? I know it's a little TL:DR but I'd appreciate any feedback here.

Thank you!

  1. Mob Behavior in the world and in dungeons is Blizzlike, from aggro range to damage.
  2. No pathing issues found yet (Level 20)
  3. Very few Gold spammers (I personally report every account I see and usually get a GM response very quickly)
  4. Blizzard Spawn rate, right now there is a healthy population in every questing area so Grouping is the most common solution I think its fine.

Hope it helps, been playing for about a week Horde Side.
