Yes there is.   Would be nice to play without retards that wait until you fighting something at at 10% then gank you.    PVP servers not even worth playing on.    Defeats the whole point of playing wow:   to relax.

Better than not being able to play at all because of non stop ganking on a server with 6000 people.

 

Besides, I bet there are a couple of thousand at least that heard about Classic being announced.. remembered this server..   came over to look and saw that it was only PvP servers and said "screw it I'll wait for blizzard"

I hope they open a fresh pve but it all depend on population. 100-300ppl online is not worth a hardware cost imho.

PvE servers are not popular for a reason.

If you're looking for one, then Darrowshire on Light's Hope is probably your best bet, it peaks at around 1500 or so during primetime. In fact I'm not even sure any other place offers a PvE vanilla private server at this time.

PvE servers were perfectly popular back in vanilla. I am sure they will be when classic comes out. I'm dying for a pve server. I keep getting killed when im at 10% hp too. They can't beat me when im at 100%. I don't often attack people unless they earn it. I have even helped out horde who were about to die from npcs. I just wanna get to max level but people are making it harder than it needs to be. If the honor system was in place... fine... im all for it... but until then its just harassment.

Not saying they aren't popular in general, just saying for the legacy community, these private servers often lack in numbers every time they are launched - most prefer the PvP atmosphere.

As I said, as far as I'm aware (and someone correct me if I'm wrong), Darrowshire is the only current vanilla PvE server up and running that has somewhat decent population numbers on Light's Hope, but even then, only peaking at 1k to 1.5k still isn't that great, and it can be tough to find groups.

Darrowshire no longer exists.   And things may be different population wise now that classic has been announced.

Yes it does exist, over on Light's Hope, the server was moved a few weeks back.

Yeah. Most times, I DO. I get my quest objectives, can skin, mine, etc to my heart's content without some child who takes pleasure in making life difficult for others ruining my time, and it's relaxing. I LOVE it that way.

Less QQ more pewpew.  Get your guildies to come gank them back.  Not in a guild?  Spam trade chat in a city.  Change where you're leveling, develop better social skills so people want you in their guild.  So many ways to deal with getting ganked then crying to devs about a PvE server.

Not interested in what?  Doing anything besides complaining?  Go back to legion then.  I'm legit not trolling at all in my suggestions.  PvP is a thing that happens.  You're going to get ganked, you're *GOING* to gank somebody (I know you'll lie and say you won't but that's okay).  There are so many ways to deal with meanie heads who pick on you in a game, you just have to elect to do one.

Not interested in ganking. At all.  Not interseted in PVP.   At all.   Not interested in being "social.  At all.   If I wanted to be social, I wouldn't be playing a fucking video game. Not everyone plays the game the same way you do.   To me its a way to relax, simply farming and doing some quests.   Thats all I want from the game.   Lack of a PvE server defeats that.   

 

So I guess what I'm really not interested in is this server...  hence why I've already moved to Darrowshire.

In any case, I don't think the problem is really the servers being PvP, but a combination of PvP and overpopped. Over on LH, the pop is ridiculous. It's not an original WoW experience, more like WoW-Flavored Mortal Kombat. lol

Darrowshire (PvE) on Light's Hope peaks at around 2k population or so on weekends - it's perfect.
