Question about realms

Hello lads,

I found this Elysium project just today and decided that I give vanilla server a try - to check, what all this "vanilla" and "classic wow" fuss is all about, because im already tired of retail.

My question is about the realms. I found at main Elysium project page something about new fast-paced realm, but cannot find any other info about that one or other realms, their population, rates, patch progress, faction balance, etc.

Because I glanced somewhere that older realms was taken down, My other question is, what happens if this new realm reach the end of the line and became stale? (e.g. final patch) will it die and a new realm will start again from the first patch? That is how this is normally going? one-year cycle, reset & start anew/repeat?

Rates are completely Blizzlike. Population peaks at around 5000 online which is pretty much the sweet spot in my book. At the moment Nighthaven is our only server.

We're currently in patch 1.3., server is fast progressive. Fast-paced progression means that it will take far less than one year to progress from versions 1.2 to 1.12.1. You can find the timeline on the following link. https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/57779-nighthaven-pvp-—-timeline/

As far as faction balance is concerned, it is pretty much even, with horde being in a slight advantage. :)

Once the server hits the last patch (which is going to take a while), we'll release TBC and the progress continues.

Aha, thanks for he quick answer. 

So after TBC launch we wont have the option to continue on vanilla realm? Or TBC will launch as a standalone realm?

I came here for vanilla not tbc :)

Other features sounds good for me.

You will be able to make a copy of your character to our TBC server. Your original character will stay on vanilla and you'll be able to play as long as you want.
