Warrior Dual Wield not working

just trained dual wield skill as a 20 WAR, tried to equip second 1h weapon, it does not allow me to put the weapon in the offhand slot. Is this  a bug or am I missing something dumb?

You are saying you trained dual wield at the warrior trainer or at the weapons master?

warrior trainer, tried to slap on two 1-handers and it just shunts to my main hand slot. am I retarded?

Make sure you have proficiency learned from the weapons masters for the types of weapons you are trying to use;

I do; Orc Warrior, lvl 21

See if clearing your cache works for some reason. This is strange.

Exit game -> navigate to your WoW install folder wherever that may be -> Delete folder named "WDB" -> Reload the game and see if that works.

I am glad it worked, but I am honestly not sure WHY it worked, just as puzzling!
