Cathbad 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2019 (edited) Hello, I havent been playing on this server too long, my character is only lvl 47 but I have an idea for an original kind of event that I think deserves consideration. I dont think any server has anything like it, so it could provide interesting marketing applications. The idea is actually quite simple. I remembered the fun I had long time ago when we would do big pvp raids on major cities. Then it crossed my mind that i havent seen anything similar in a long time ( maybe im wrong but it looks like those kinds of raids arent a thing anymore). Anyway, I was thinking that maybe we can organize big pvp raid battles monthly or every 2 months, etc ( and put it on a calendar so that people that want to participate can actually register). That kind of event is a bit complicated so I though about some points. 1. The event should be organised on both alliance and horde sides and put on a calendar, maybe if this event ever becomes popular we can put some kind of calendar on the site too. 2. I had an idea that battles take place in zones of the world first. For example, first battle in ashenvale, then if the horde wins we next time move on to the darkshore, and if we win again we attack darnassus (same thing would apply for the alliance). That way it would make battles even more interesting since its actaully diffrent terain every time. We can even make that we do the first 5 battle in zones, and the winner attacks some major city. 3. There needs to be rules. I think this is the most complicated point, I was thinking maybe we do the battle in rounds. No releasing and the side that first kills every other enemy wins the round. Then we all ressurect and start another round. thers a problem that i dont really know if it is possible to prevent anyone from releasing. There are also many ways to create the winning objectives like killing an npc. This is open for a debate naturally. 4. Maybe we can even make get some rewards for winners so that there is even more reason to participate. 5. This kind of event could be used for advertising the server if it was successful since Ive never seen anything similar. All in all i think it would really be fun to fight big battles in all kinds of zones and try to work your way to the capital. Lets not forget that this would be a good event for those that are trying to get big ranks in pvp. It should be applied to both tbc and vanilla. Zancon 117 Report post Posted June 30, 2019 We used to do PVP tournaments in the Gurubashi arena but they were poorly attended. The ones that did attend seemed to really enjoy it however.
