TheOfficialLion 4 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 Let's strengthen our Community: Hey Guys, my name is Lion and I wanted to create this thread to introduce myself and to give you the chance to do the same. I played retail WoW since the end of TBC, meanwhile always playing on private servers off and on. I am pumped for the launch of the new Realm on Elysium and can't wait to dive right in. But to do so, as fun and effective as possible, I am searching players, comrades and friends who want to go on that journey with me. I want this thread to be a possibility for people to find other people to just casually play with/raid with/ do PVP with or every other activity that comes to your mind. We are gamers and we play an MMORPG, and together we are stronger So let me start this off by introducing myself: As I already stated above, just call me Lion, I am from Germany, so please excuse my mistakes. I am not sure yet what class & race I will play when the Server launches but I am currently tempted to play a mage. In retail, I raided as a Tank Paladin and raid lead of my own guild. Wirago 8 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) Hi guys, I am from Austria and this is actually the first time I want to play on a vanilla server seriously. Played on Khronos but never reached even lvl 40 ^^On retail, I started with TBC, was progress raiding during Wotlk and Cata, skipped pandaland and played casually on WoD but stopped playing quite early since... you know... reasons. From TBC till my end on retail servers I played my Paladin, loved and hated him simulaneously (yes, I still think paladins were the class that blizz patched the most around) I will start on the fresh pvp server. But still not sure what to main. I am torn between Dwarf Warrior and Paladin :-/ Both have their pros and cons I think. But yet tending to roll a warrior. probably tank in endgame Never the less. Check my topic here: https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=23578#entry247391 to see what I mean by worker. I'd like to experience the game in a different way by playing a worker. I don't know how to explain it, but vanilla makes me to be gentle and support community, unlike retail. I'm feeling I'm playing with massive bots that they don't even know how to speak. It the same for every other game. Maybe its true that vanilla legendary stories are true. That the players there are different. They are friendly, they communicate and help each other. New to elysium, Had a lvl 22 In Nost before it closed, Have been playing Retail Since TBC, never got to experience enough of Vanilla Raiding and Dungeons, So really looking forward to it. (JUST FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT CLOSE THE SERVER DOWN AGAIN!) I I clean Vehicles for a living and Also work For Fedex at the momment. I am Very Much looking forward to playing vanilla again and experiencing what i missed, do to not being able to Afford to play the game soon enough back in the day. I still actively play retail but have 100% love and respect for the old WoW community and am proud that its still very much active and thriving. Serviceplot 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) Hiya I'm Serviceplot, people call me Service. Vanilla wow is cool. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is cool. V A P O R W A V E is pretty good (It's not a phase mom). So lemme set you up with everything about me to make it easier to know who I am. I'm a lil young (18) and that's frowned upon in nostalgia based communities like this. I've always had a deep curiosity with vanilla WoW since I started playing when I was like 8 in Wrath, then in middle school played Cata with some buddies and then played MoP simi-seriously with those same cancerous pals. Then in WoD I tried to go hardcore then instantly fell out of love with what the game became, and all my previous buddies did as well (far sooner than I did). Finally in legion, I went hard for two months then ran into some DPS issues because of a bum patch and fell out again, and that Xpac is okay and the story got better, but it still felt like a facebook farmville game to me. Now I'm here with a thrust for my old WoW and a WoW I never got to see and I wanna see if the hype was right. Hope I can make new friends or get my old ones on here. Then revive our old guild. Thank you to those who have made it possible, from the very bottom of my heart. I love you. Played WoW pretty much from release. Didn't get in on the beta, but watched a friend play it. At that time I was living with my ex-girlfriend, and our daughter was an infant. I always admired the players in capital cities with full epic sets, but couldn't dedicate the amount of time I wanted to the game.. only making it to MC once before TBC made it irrelevant. Over a decade later, I still long to return to the Azeroth I fell in love with. Stayed with retail through MoP, but meh. Commercialized, casualized, homogenized in my opinion. Vanilla will always be World of Warcraft to me. The greatest online game ever created. I am beyond excited to start this journey with you all. Planning to roll an Orc Shaman on the PvE realm. Kamah 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) Just throwing myself in here! Heya, Im from Belgium 26 y/o. Passionate gamer. Im completely new here, i may have played on nos for like a short while ages ago, or that may have been on a different server all together. I will be joining this server when it releases. Ive been playing wow since it released with the occasional breaks in between. On live vanilla i played a paladin and raided everything up to AQ40, skipped naxx sadly. Been a heroic raider / mythic raider in the last few expansions. With all the commotion about nos i started thinking about private servers again and found out this will have the same foundations as nos to be a strong server (same server, diff owner/name). Im still unsure what faction to play as i will be playing on the PvE realm only. I rather keep the pvp in BGs (altough MC'ing people from MC chains into the lava where fun) So closer to launch i hope to see what faction gets more popular so i can easily find dungeon groups and later on a guild to raid with. For class im 99% sure to go a priest, as i stated above i played paladin (unstoppable force mace from AV was fun) but i rly enjoyed my priest aswell. So ill level one of each and see what i love the most, altough id love my benediction again. So for those that will play on the PvE realm feel free to hit me up, if its possible i go by the name of Kamah or a similiar version of it. I do web design for my guildmates, and i'm here ready for some PVE in Nostalrius Server granted by Elysium. I'm playing World of Warcraft since The Burning Crusade started on retail. And finish playing when Pandaria was finishing before the next expansion. So i started playing private servers and as far i can say (Nothing like Nostalrius) that was amazing! The most important thing wasn't the quantity of players. I'm talking about the quality. See you all around. Much blessings.
