<Alacrity> Fresh Server PVP Horde Guild (US and EU Friendly)
TheKrugLife posted a topic in Guild Recruitment
<Alacrity>Fresh Server - PVP Guild Alacrity is looking for players to join us on the new pvp realm and share in the experience of beginning our journey once again. With the server realistically launching a month from now, as well as the difficulty of putting together a 55 person roster to facilitate 40 man raiding, I’m not expecting anyone to commit to joining my guild or even trying to sell the idea that the guild will 100% survive launch. With number of players being a limited resource, I want to be upfront about my outlook on private servers and what I am looking to gain from posting this. With that being said <Alacrity> is being formed by the leadership and members of one of the top guilds on Nost PVE (server first rag, onyxia, and azuregos), our goal is to form a guild/community that raids efficiently, meshes socially, and most importantly: enjoys vanilla WoW! Guild InformationClearing Content on Par With Other Guilds: Our goal as far as “server first” is concerned, will be to maintain equal footing as far as raid lockouts are concerned. For instance, if ragnaros is cleared thursday of the third week, we will aim to kill it later that same week Transparent Leadership: Being open and honest with our members will create a healthy environment and allow the guild to be as drama free as possible. Mature Environment: One of the most integral parts of Vanilla WoW is the sense of community and as a member / raider you will represent our guild in this community. It’s because of this that we are looking for members who will better their/our reputation amongst the server. PVP and Speed Runs: It is up to each guild and/or group of players to answer for themselves the question “what is the end game content?”, and for us that is to take the gear we acquire from raids and put it to good use in BGs and Raids. We want our members to challenge themselves to excel at all aspects of the game, whether it being among the few to reach rank 14 in pvp or, to push the limits of content by clearing the raids as quick as humanly possible. Raid Times TBD: Between me being American, the majority of private servers being EU, and the server being (probably) a month away, I’m leaving our raid times up in the air until we gather more interest and can decide on an agreeable schedule. For The Horde: We will be playing on the fresh pvp realm as horde characters. Who Are We Recruiting?Odds are, if you have read this and are still interested in us then, we are interested in you! While I can’t guarantee the guild will survive the volatile nature of a private server release, I’m looking to form relationships that will transcend the lifespan of the guild. For instance, let’s say we recruit 15 people for launch, we all have a good time leveling in discord, but we decide to break up and join several different guilds, that experience alone would have been worth the effort of creating this guild. So with that being said: if you are the type of person who is interested in the idea of being surrounded by players who are looking to both excel at and enjoy the game they play, this is the guild for you. For a generic list of qualities I’d like to see…. High Skill Level Maturity level that matches (or even outmatches) skill level PvPers (let’s make some pvp videos aye?) Leadership Skills Good Communication Positive Attitude Knowledge and/or experience of vanilla content As a group of players who have more retail experience than legacy experience, we are looking to recruit two or three leadership roles who are capable of helping us transition into the later content of Vanilla such as AQ and Naxx. We are looking to begin the server by recruiting two to three 5-man dungeon groups who are going to level quickly, gear quickly, and work together to attune each other for UBRS, Onyxia, and Molten Core. Loot System We would be using a combination of DKP, Loot Council, and Tier “priority” systems that I believe create the simplest and most fluid loot distribution: DKP: Players should have the ability to influence the gear they get and the simplest way to do this is to use DKP to reward players based on attendance. Because we are aiming for a roster of around 55 players, even players who are sitting will receive DKP, it is also worth mentioning that our dkp system will be a flat payment system: if an item costs 5 dkp and two bidders have 145 and 146 dkp, the person with 146 dkp will win it and spend 5 dkp. Loot Council: In a perfect world, loot council is the most efficient way to hand out loot but, this is far from a perfect world #brexit #trump and it’s because of these events we will only be using loot council to settle disputes, dkp ties, or other rare cases that might occur during the looting process Tier Priority: This was a system my guild used in original vanilla, it is very simple and rewards commitment, attendance, and being a good guild mate. Because everyone needs or wants their tier for one reason or another, everyone will eventually get it one at a time. It can sound shady giving one person 8 piece before another person 8 piece, but in practice the system will look and feel no different than if the tier was given out via loot council. It is important to note exceptions will be made to benefit the progression of the guild Miscellaneous InformationAs I’ve said multiple times throughout this post: the idea of forming a guild a month before the server actually launches is quite the pipe dream but, we are recruiting to find a group of like minded players that can either form the foundation of our own guild, or provide a necessary roster to another like-minded guild. In essence, I’m trying to find a group of players who want to work together to create the mutual best launch experience for each other as possible. Ideally I would like to find two to three 5-man groups who are going to level quickly and begin dungeons as soon as possible. If this idea is something you are interested in, I encourage you to message me, fill out our app, and ask as many questions as you can; we have a month to prepare for launch, what’s the worst a conversation can do? To contact me, add me on discord at Krug#5246 or feel free to DM me on here. I'll post an app later today in order to gauge interests and help find a happy medium on things such as: raid time, loot system, etc. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and good luck in your legacy endeavors and remember to treat others as you’d like to be treated! -
I just wanted to let everyone that was interested in applying that I appreciate the interest but, I've decided to not play on Elysium.

Is it going to be progressive?
TheKrugLife replied to Reddakh's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
People aren't going to be too excited to see things such as zg/bwl on release: fwiw I would recommend y'all delay those until people get a reasonable foothold. To expand on that thought: with 4 raids out and bg rep gear out, you are gonna limit the importance of the earlier dungeon content. Starting with BWL/ZG closed for a short time would be better. -
Sounds good, I guess I should clean up this post to make it look flashier =P

Hi there, along with my group of real life friends, I lead the server first guild on Nost PVE (guild was <Lotus Storm>) and I'm looking to make a new start on Elysium. The guild will raid at times that are friendly to both US and EU players (2pm mountain is around when I'd like to start). What I'm Looking For In Particular: 1) PVP players: if you are planning on grinding a high rank, making a pvp video, or are well versed in vanilla pvp I'd love to hear from you. Gearing will be weighed to account for what pieces are good in pvp so, if you want to grind ranks and have a raid leader who understand the difference in items that are important for pvp and items that are important for pve then this is the guild for you. 2) End game raid experience: Everyone and their mom can do Molten Core and BWL (on Nost we literally had a 55 year old mom in the guild), so while the 40 man format allows newer players to join and learn, any experience you might have with AQ40 and beyond is great and worth mentioning. 3) Good attitude: I'm looking for players who want to create a relaxed and efficient raid environment, Vanilla WoW is as much a social experience as it is a gearing progression game. To elaborate, I'd like a guild of players who aren't going to log out 15 minutes after each raid, only to resurface 15 minutes before the next raid. 4) Helpful and Responsible Members: Between farming reagents and helping guild members run a dungeon for a particular item, nothing is more frustrating than a lazy guild member and, I'd like to make a guild where members are active and helpful (within reason). General Requirements: These are things you should have, mention, or be ready to do in this guild.' 1) Reliability: show up to raid on time and don't disappear, if you need to miss a raid or take care of something in real life simply mention it to an officer or someone who will inform an officer for you. As long as we know ahead of time we won't have a problem with it. 2) Acceptable Game Knowledge: you should have a good idea of what you are doing or at least be able to follow directions and be willing to learn. 3) Level at a good rate: I'm not saying level to 60 in record time but, I'm looking for players who want to level at a solid pace and get ahead of the curve. 4) Come Prepared: players should come to raid with the necessary consumables and are expected to keep their gear enchanted, repaired, and....washed? Don't be that guy constantly asking for potions, un-enchanted gear, etc. A little composure goes a long way. General Information: Raid Time: I'd like to start around 2 pm mountain time but I'd like to get a decent player base and agree on a time. The day will also be discussed in the future to best fit the guild. Voice system: we will be using Discord (Download the app so you can turn on PTT). Loot System: We will be using a partial Loot Council / Partial DKP system, it will be very easy and very quick to do during raid. Thanks so much if you have read this far, I appreciate the consideartion; and remember, <Without U> is nothing without you!
