Paladins still rock. I mean, Ret/Reckoning is wicked in 1v1 world PvP, and Holy/Prot is disgustingly good in PvP support.

No, you will not see any absurdities like that. On Nostalrius, things were very close to what I remember from retail Vanilla. Welcome to the private server life. I discovered them over 4 years ago and it's been the only way I've played WoW since. Vanilla is simply the best version of WoW to me.

For me it's been too long. I can't jump back onto my old characters. They are dead and buried. I'm ready for a new adventure. Thus, I eagerly await the fresh realm.

3 - 4 weeks after the old realms launch

I noticed that in the first stress test, dynamic spawns were working. But in the second stress test, they seemed to be turned off, and mobs were taking 4x longer to respawn. Just curious if this was on purpose, or someone forgot to flip a switch for this test?

Sounds good. Do as many tests as you need to make the servers better.

Valkyrie has been around since 2009, so I'm not worried about a shutdown.

Dodging is pathetic and I support anything (no matter how unblizzlike) that discourages or prevents it.

Most private servers get C&D from Blizz. They ignore it. Nostalrius did not have to close.

I agree. At this point I'm actually quite annoyed by the term "blizzlike". Almost every server claims to be blizzlike. I personally support small changes that don't alter the soul of the game. Kronos has a 10 gold maximum on respecs. That is certainly a bigger change than BG commands, and they are doing just fine for population. I'm disappointed that now Elysium won't have the commands because they want to play it safe, and not scare off a few people who may have a "blizzlike" fetish. It was what set Elysium apart from other servers for me.

My second love is classic Dark Age of Camelot. Been playing in the Uthgard beta. So much depth to that game.

Oh please no. The .BG commands are a big reason why I was attracted to this server.

This happens sometimes when someone queues in the city then goes out to do world PvP. They're losing, their BG pops, and they take the queue out of there. Big deal. It doesn't happen often, and it's not a reason to remove the .BG commands. I think it's a fantastic addition. Not only does it increase world PvP, but also BG activity. As a hardcore PvPer, I am loving these commands. And they could just make it so you can't queue in combat.

Ha! I love Payo. I used to watch his stream a lot on Nostalrius. He's a really good rogue. Also he's hilarious, gets so emotional and expressive during PvP.

What people? I'm people, and I fully support the custom commands here. Further, among my circle of WoW friends, that are all heavily into PvP, it's unanimous that the remote BG queue commands are amazing. That we can be out in the world doing things, and queue at anytime expands on one of the best traits of Vanilla... being out in the world.

While I loved Nostalrius, I personally am not looking for Elysium to be a clone of that. I think the custom commands are fine, and the queue BG's from anywhere is a game-changer for me... in a good way! I don't want to sit in cities queuing. I can play retail if that's the type of experience I want. As someone who is mostly a PvPer, and wants to be out in the world having world PvP as much as possible when not in a BG (not stuck in cities queuing 24/7). BG commands are one of the things that excites me most about Elysium. I will be heartbroken if they are removed.

I'm curious if you have that on your servers. While I love the chaos of server launches and the crazy amount of people that are likely going to flood the starting zones, it's also a little frustrating going 10 minutes without being able to kill a single quest mob.
