    Let take your example as Theory: 500 Spell Damage = 327 Mind Flay Damage with Bonuses = 109 DPS Mind Flay rank 1 = 75 damage+bonuses = 109 damage / 3 = 36 DPS + (327 / 3) = 145 DPS Mind Flay rank 6 = 426 damage + bonuses = 619 damage / 3 = 206 DPS + (327 / 3) = 315 DPS Good luck with that. /Kind regards Killerduki
  2. No , it's not 102.4% for Vanilla , read careful what does it say about extra 2.4% , 102.4 Is for Wrath of the Lich king +++ expansions. The extra 2.4% may come from the fact that Dodge and Parry are subject to diminishing returns. Read Patch Notes for that : Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Melee mitigation stats also have diminishing returns.

http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Spell_power?oldid=347424 - Penalty Rules Spells learned before level 20 And - Additional effects (even higher than level 20) Spells with additional effects (like slow) get a 5% penalty to benefit. This penalty is applied before other penalties and to the base calculation for the spell. Are 2 different things and have different Penalty's. (They don't fall under the same cathegory). Only because Mind Flay have "Additional effects" it have 5% Penalty . /Kind regards Killerduki
  4. The thing you missunderstood with that is "Defense", with Defense cap you reach to the Boss level and beyond. Each level is 5 Defense , Boss level is equal to level 63. To Match the Boss level you need 315 Defense , for Crit immune you need 440 Defense. Each 25 Defense beyond or above Boss level is = 1 Dodge,1 Parry,1 Block,1 Miss I talk about Avoidance Cap. Read careful Wowwiki Explanation why 102.4% http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Avoidance_(attack_table) The extra 2.4% may come from the fact that Dodge and Parry are subject to diminishing returns. http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Spell_power?oldid=347424 Revision as of 19:01, November 29, 2006 - Penalty Rules Spells learned before level 20 - Additional effects (even higher than level 20) Spells with additional effects (like slow) get a 5% penalty to benefit. This penalty is applied before other penalties and to the base calculation for the spell. ((Cast Time of Spell / 3.5 ) * .95 Penalty for extra effect) / 3 = Benefit Examples of these spells include: Entangling Roots (Druid), Mind Flay (Priest), Blast Wave (Mage) (Each time you clip Mind Flay regardless of what Rank, it will have Penalty thanks to Slow Effect). The TBC Penalty is completely different than the explanation written ,the difference from Vanilla, TBC Penalty is : /Kind regards Killerduki
  7. If you see in the Conversation , he wrote some inaccurate numbers there either where he excluded the subnumbers like 0.0005xxxx and instead he wrote the simple 0.0005 . /Kind regards Killerduki
  8. According to what? http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Avoidance_(attack_table) The extra 2.4% may come from the fact that Dodge and Parry are subject to diminishing returns. The extra 2.4% is also believed to come from fighting higher level bosses. http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Attack_table Miss 5.00% 0.01 - 5.00 Dodge 4.50% 5.01 - 9.50 Parry 6.20% 9.51 - 15.70 Glancing Blow 0% — Block 84.30% 15.71 - 100.00 Critical hit 0% — Crushing Blow 0% — Ordinary hit 0% — 5+4.50+6.20+84.30 = 100% Or : http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Attack_table?oldid=338686 = November 24, 2006 Or : http://web.archive.org/web/20070211120040/http://forums.elitistjerks.com/viewtopic.php?id=9330 Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Melee mitigation stats also have diminishing returns. Wowwiki Diminishing return and 102.4% is according to Wrath of the Lich King ++ Expansions , not for Vanilla. From 1 target , Holy Shield will never fade unlike Shield Block it will fade many times. /Kind regards Killerduki
  9. JaqTheMo The reverse as you said was done by Dorenthas changing Beaza information , later you can see the discussion. Here is Conversation on "Talk" about the Reverse thing you talk about : http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Dodge And then you can see another Modification next day after the Conversation which proved your link wrong : http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Dodge?limit=500&action=history (Updated factors with Beaza's info, added TBC preview) /Kind regards Killerduki

You see, in your calculations there is "Wand Damage and Idle Mana". When you compare 2 stats, Wand and Idle is not part of comparing the 2 stats. Intellect vs Spell Power is Int vs Spell Power , not Intellect vs Wand, idle regen and Spell Power. /Kind regards Killerduki

Did also counted Wand Damage and Idle Mana regen or any Regen ? /Kind regards Killerduki

135.xxx damage versus 119.xxx damage thanks to T2 and Mind Blast . You wrote no specifics in your explanation, no duration , what stats used , what consumes etc. You just said 500 SP + Consumes versus 500 Intellect + Consumes where 500 Intellect will rock 500 SP when you go out of Mana by miles. You didn't said if you include Idle Mana or Wand Damage either. https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=23585&p=247422 Did you also include Mind Blast Critical strike in your 500 Intellect + Consumes ? /Kind regards Killerduki
  13. Holy Shield for Paladins is 4 Blocks Yes 75% is for 60 lvl but you can go up to 85% and be Armor Cap for Boss. /Kind regards Killerduki

Cherry Pick Abilities like you did without duration explained, removing everything and let Shadow Word: Pain will result to even greater DPS compare to any other spell. 500 Intellect = 7500 Mana = 16 Shadow Word: Pain, 36 Mind Flay , 21 Mind Blast. 16 Shadow Word: Pain = 26432 Damage 36 Mind Flay = 22284 21 Mind Blast = 16233 + damage by Critical strike. /Kind regards Killerduki

Arcane Intellect Blasted Lands Intellect MotW Kings You do realize that those increase Intellect and will benefit Intellect and will increase Value of Intellect? https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=23585&p=255331 Those was included already in their "Maximum" value. That was written already. Good luck with Spell Penalty for Rank 1 Mind Flay which is by miles lower DPS than Max Rank. https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=23585&p=247422 135.XXX Damage with Mind Blast. 119.XXX Damage without Mind Blast. Theory was written for Max DPS and in previous Point it was already written the cutting Mind Blast which result to lower DPS than including Mind Blast. /Kind regards Killerduki

1- Mana Tide Totem, Mana Spring Totem will never work together with Blessing of Wisdom , Blessing of Kings = This is not TBC. 2- Shadowform , Darkness , Shadow Weaving was included. 3- If the total Damage done will result to : 230 Spell Damage = 89.27 DPS x 87.5 Seconds = 7811.12 Damage 230 Intellect = 8641 Damage Even if you add - Imp. Shadowbolt debuff (20%), CoS (10%) and Nightfall (15%). it will still end up even more DPS thanks to Intellect. 4- Yes, Intellect is better than Spell Damage , regardless how much you try to Devaluate or not, Formula gave exact number for that with 99% accuracy excluding Critical strikes where Intellect will become even greater than Spell Power for that . 5- With Base Mana only without Gear , yes it will OOM in 25.5 Seconds doing Max DPS with Max CD"s and Improved Abilities to Max. 6- MC fights i agree 100% that are quite fast ONLY for High End Geared people , BWL in current situation is 40+ Seconds ONLY for High End Geared people. /Kind regards Killerduki

    - I was counting 22 Mp5 as compensation for Buffs , i was counting Maximum outcome from Demonic Rune/Major Mana Potion which will never happen (3752). - Talking about Buffs, you do realize that 230 Intellect will result to = 253 Intellect which will also increase the Damage done by Intellect. - In the Calculation here , Critical Strikes was not counted. If Critical Strikes was counted then Intellect would end up even higher than it is written. Your spreadsheet count Wand Damage and Idle Mana when you don't Cast when you run out of Mana. /Kind regards Killerduki
  21. BiS Protection Paladin will have 91% Avoidance thanks to Holy Shield (not talking about redoubt). Paladin scale higher with Dodge from Agility than Warrior does. In my comparison it was Tier Warrior vs Offset Tank items for Paladin. Oki , i was wrong about Block sorry for that , still even if we talk about High End Gear , In case where Warrior focus on T3 which gives them lower Parry/Dodge but increasing their Block Value and Paladin focus on Offset Item that gives lot more Parry/Dodge where it doesn't increase Block Value in compensation of "extra 30% Shield Absorb". 10% Dmg Reduction Warriors get is reduced by Armor , this leaves Warrior with 75% armor reduce only 2.5% dmg . Damage income - X% damage reduction - Armor reduction = damage taken - Blocked Damage = damage taken. As compensation to 10% dmg reduction we got Shield Absorb (% damage block increase by shield). /Kind regards Killerduki

    15. In Combat experiment for fight with equal Intellect and Spell Damage. We will try to throw some different kind of theory explanation where we will compare 230 Intellect with 230 Spell Damage including Mana regeneration , duration of fight and Damage Done/DPS output for that (non cherry pick stats where all stats are calculated at once). 230 Intellect VS 230 Spell Damage According To : 5.Maximum DPS over 25.5 and 51 seconds : 230 Intellect = 3450 Mana = 8641 Damage / 25.5 = 338.86 DPS over 25.5 Seconds According To : 4.Spell Damage Coefficient : 230 Spell Damage = 20.55 DPS by Mind Blast with Bonuses , 50.18 DPS by Mind Flay with Bonuses , 18.54 DPS by Shadow Word: Pain. Total DPS by 230 Spell Damage = 89.27 DPS over X Seconds. If the fight is 51 Seconds this will result into : 230 Intellect = 8641 / 51 = 169.43 DPS over 51 Seconds. 230 Spell Damage = 89.27 DPS over 51 Seconds. If the fight is 102 Seconds this will result into : 230 Intellect = 8641 / 105 = 85.55 DPSover 102 Seconds. 230 Spell Damage = 89.27 DPS over 102 Seconds but since you will OOM at 87.5 Seconds then it will result in 7811 Damage / 102 = 76.57 DPS over 102 Seconds. We go that Spell Damage value since over 102 Seconds you will have to waste 13800 Mana. This will result to : 2956 Base Mana + 3450 Mana from Intellect + 3752 Maximum Consumes Mana =10 158 Mana over 102 Seconds. Mana increased by Mp5 taking example by someone with T2 Quality Gear (22 Mp5) = 448 Mana + Mana inreased by (Base) 133 Spirit = 1271 Total Mana : 11877 Because 102 Seconds require 13800 Mana but you end up with 11877 Mana the damage done by Spell Damage will be reduced. 3450 Mana / 25.5 Seconds = 135.29 Mana per second 135.29 x 14.5 = 1961.70 13800 - 11877 = 1923 1923 Mana will reduce 102 Seconds down to 87.5 Seconds for Spell Damage. 230 Spell Damage = 89.27 DPS x 87.5 Seconds = 7811.12 Damage 230 Intellect = 8641 Damage Even considering different kind of theory , we came to conclusion that Intellect is still better stat than Spell Damage.

Still nobody came out to give any proper math , neither proper formula. Yet they talk about my Formula and Math being wrong while 90% of their comments are Insulting,Bashing,Derailing,Trolling only because they was proven wrong even by their own Spread Sheet. I am sorry but your comment is irrelevant unless you or anyone come with proper evidence. The only one that came out with something was Cryofsorrow but his theory was irrelevant due the fact where he was basing Intellect on "Infinite Mana" which is incorrect since something like that doesn't exist neither in WoW code , neither in World of Warcraft (except Vaelstraz), nobody in game have "Infinite Mana" (retail that way only) . /Kind regards Killerduki
  24. For mediocre Raids until AQ40 even 7% overall (including precision) is enough to do lot dps. 9% for white swings as hard cap (ofc wont make huge difference) but still other stats in the item are important. Heart of Wyrmthalak proc so often , does not scale from SP but it proc heavy from Seal and Judgement of Command. /Kind regards Killerduki
  25. people are too much concern about Crushing Blow. Crushing Blow is not some sort of monster , it will usually do 50% more dmg when it happen and it will happen 2 out 10 times on low gear and 1 out of 10 times on high end gear. Keep in mind we do have lot Parry/Dodge unlike Warriors and for that reason we will avoid more "completely full swings" where Warrior's Block will make them throw out of table Dodge/Parry/Miss % and that make them eat every possible hit , even if the hit was blocked , it will still do damage to them. In overall fight this will result with Paladin eat lower damage than the Warriors , i was experimenting this on another server and shown something fascinating to see. In b4 haters come out and thrown some of their BS . /Kind regards Killerduki
