You cannot use your old Elysium login details for the stress tests. We are merging the Nost/Ely databases and are using a clean DB for each test.

The game mechanics will be as per patch 1.12.1. The various patches focus mostly on items and instances available. Debuff limit will be 8 at start and raised to 16 in the appropriate patch. This means that druids will have Moonkin form and and Shield Slam is useful. Altering the spells, abilities and talents would require custom clients at each patch.

You really only need one reamlist.wtf and it should be inside the main WoW folder. If you get instant "disconnected from server" it means everything is working fine for now. If it takes a long time trying to connect and then gives that message or some other messages, then something is wrong.

Install to C:\Games\WoW or something similar instead of under Program Files.

World chat is not a special chat channel like General, Trade, Local Defence, World Defence, Looking For Group and Looking For Guild channels are. World chat is just a custom chat channel named "world". Blizzard implemented the ability to create custom chat channels early in vanilla and it is used for many purposes, for example guilds use custom chat channels for class-specific raid channels. Additionally, many addons use custom chat channels to "network" between players. We cannot disable custom chat channels as that would cripple such addons and make life difficult for people using them for RP and organization, not to mention non-English speakers who often also join a channel for their own language, such as /china and /rus. Just forbidding a channel named "world" isn't going to work because players would just switch using a differently named channel.
