Need help with Badlands questDrain replied to Plunkpriest's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Don't roll on the over crowded realm then complain about it. On Anathema, these mobs are abandoned most of the time.
-
They won't offer transfers, so there's nothing we can do. Just need to roll on Anathema and hope others do the same. But too many think larger=better, and don't care about the suffering realm.
-
You don't need any group quests or even dungeons to get 60. These are just bonuses. You can also make some really good money farming the right mobs while leveling. Mounts have never been easier to fund.

Beware of Seaney and Warriokian on Elysium HordeDrain replied to edi's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Maybe post in the right realm forum.

Roll PVE. If you didn't start pre Nost PVE launch, you've no excuses. You roll PVP, this is the kind of shit you have to deal with. Even after you get 60, you'll be bullied by raiders in full purples everywhere for months. They fill every BG, and they're farming everything worth anything. Luckily on Anathema, which is now a ghost town, farming has gotten much less frustrating. Plants are the only thing that's obsessed over anymore, as the realm is a bunch of drug addicts.

I'm on the Horde. WC is right next to one of our towns, which is between 2 cities. Uldaman is out in bumfuck no where.
-
You need <200 for ideal performance. That's what the game was designed for. But in PVE content, you can endure far worse and get by. Back in 2005, rarely did anyone have <200 because internet connections sucked balls and so did the hardware that was running the game. We generally raided with 300-500 ping. PVP was only playable in small battles; city raids crashed realms (forcing the invention of BGs) and AV was unplayable for most. But unless you care about being competitive with top ranks; it doesn't matter.
-
Dungeons while leveling are mostly gone. The easy to access ones are still popular (ie RFC DM WC), but forget about the POS ones (Uldaman). The trade off is that quest areas are uncontested, and being ganked is rare. At 60 dungeons are rare unless you start your own as tank/heal (if you're damage, GL). PVP has actually gotten much nicer because there's less competition for standing. It's easier than ever to get ranks. There also isn't premades stomping pugs 24 7 like Nost used to have. You can actually play the game. But most people on both sides are covered in purples, so you're little more than dead weight until you get better equipment.

Come to Anathema. Plenty of room here. Getting mobs is no problem at all.
-
They seemed to unnerf the drop rate but didn't tell anyone about it. (Typical shitty Elysium communication) But I was against the nerf in the first place. The problem isn't the timers. The problem is you. Stop overdosing drugs you don't need for everything, and they wouldn't be so high. They also went up because of hoarders, which is not the fault of the game, nor the responsibility of the staff. If people want to horde shit, prices will go up, no matter what the timers are at. They buy out everything at a certain price, and relist it for much more.
-
It needs Elysium transfers but they done stomped their "NOPE" on it. They really don't care about Anathema in general. We have from the start just been their beta test realm. Recently we've had constant server crashes despite being far less populated than Elysium. It's obvious they're testing more stuff on us, like a lab rat.

Why is Multiboxing banned for PVE instancing?Drain replied to Boodk's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions You're trying to show a game to a child that is far too complicated for them. Buy her a Nintendo DS and get mario kart on it. Or put her on retail. I think it's been dumbed down enough for toddlers at this point.

	1) GL getting squids. I never see them when I fish. I get a full stack of 15 STA booze and still no squids. Probably because it's a winter fish and we're in the middle of summer. 2) With zanza, 50 STA makes more sense than 25 of a single stat. There's almost no fights where you don't take damage. It's also twice the duration, and persists through any deaths. Literally no contest here, and you go to the island to buff anyway, as opposed to having to make pointless laps to Blasted Lands to farm beasts. 3) Use whatever mana potion you like. I listed the most money efficient options. It's also why I list the 8 oil instead of the 12. The 12 costs so much more that it's not worth it. I didn't list the best possible thing you could use. I listed what makes the most sense. 4) Jujus don't matter at all on a Hunter because you already get 2x AP from AGI. It makes more sense to sell them to the melee. But again, use them if you want. Since I regularly farm/sell eko, I thank you for keeping their prices up.

You don't "patch". You should already be running 1.12, latest client version. It also means never having to worry about addons. It's a perk of playing a shovelware game. Back then, the client had to update regularly, and many patches broke everyone's addons.
-
Anyone can do it. But as I pointed out, you don't even have to. If you don't like it, the solution is to not do it, not beg them into reducing the cost. This is the path to the retail side, where players endlessly asked for everything to be easier/cheaper/faster and Blizzard, not knowing how to say no, just gave them everything, ruining the game and growing a new playerbase of whiny entitled children (everyone else quit). No matter what it's at, someone is going to complain it's too much, and want it to be less, or just free. Today you complain about 50, tomorrow someone complains about 25. Someone will always complain about it, and nothing is accomplished simply by nerfing it. You actually hurt one of the best sinks in the game, while adding nothing to take its place. This fuels something called inflation. Shall we increase the cost of repairs then, in exchange? Where else should the gold go? You want players to sit around on thousands of gold? People asking for the hand out never suggest anything else for it to sink on. I've literally never seen this in history, yet it should be the main attachment to an argument that one should be nerfed or removed. Players also begged the staff into reducing plant spawn timers, which makes no sense when the playerbase isn't large enough to justify it anymore and in fact has been getting smaller. We needed fast timers back when we had 10-15k online a day, not <1k. If people are hording plants and driving up prices (which they were), that's not the fault nor responsibility of the staff. These custom tweaks done only to shoulder QQ probably just encouraged more people to quit. We didn't come for retail.

Any class can do everything in 1 build unless it's a Warrior tank. You don't "have" to be in the "best" build for something to do it. Talent builds don't even matter in BGs. If you want honor/rank, all that matters is that you queue up and go there. Does not matter at all how much you die or lose. I could lose all day and still get more than you simply by playing more often. This shitty PVP system revolves around time invested, not much else. So if you don't like the respec fee, then why even respec. On that note, nerfing it down to 25g was fucking stupid, and the type of unblizzlike fun realm modifications they are supposed to be against. Next players will ask for mounts at level 20, heirlooms, or dungeon finder teleporting; there's no end if you don't know how to say "NO". When I think of all the helpful shit they COULD DO which violate the timeline or policy, but refuse to do, yet do something like this which doesn't help the game at all; it makes me quite confused. If you want to violate something for the sake of players, then put the damn teleport orb inside AQ 40, or the infinite quint in MC. This is something helpful, that Classic actually did at some point. Instead they do something bad which Classic didn't do at any point.

	Guess they forgot about it.

Raiding Consumable list: Booze: +10 or 15. Fish: 25 STA, 6 or 8 mana regen. Zanza: +50 STA/SPI. (Does not stack with Blasted Lands potions.) Mongoose: 25AGI/2 crit. (Does not stack with other AGI elixirs or any AGI scroll.) Health potion: Major Rejuv or bandages. (Major HP is generally not recommended as it shares a CD with protections while doing less) Oils: +8. If it's not enough, then just dual wield 2 charges. Mana potion: 900-1,500, stackable up to 5. I don't mean superior. I mean combat from PVP vendor. Mana rune: Another 900-1,500. (Does not share CD with other potions, but shares with Healthstones.) Food: Alterac Manna Biscuit. Not much reason to buy anything else. Ammo: Thorium. No contest. Things not to use: Jujus are a waste on a Hunter unless you have low fire resist. You're much better off just selling furbolg/giant eko and putting the gold towards other things. Major manas are also stupid, and even superiors are a waste vs combat pots or mana oils. If you want to save more money, you could also skimp out on booze, as another 10 or 15 STA won't change much. For ammo AV is a waste vs thorium. Those are china bullets for their 5 hour long field of strife turtles. Blasted Lands potions have no purpose unless you can't get zanza. Scrolls have no purpose unless you don't want to pay for a AGI potion. Flasks are probably the biggest waste of gold, and should be the last thing you ever consider using. There's no flask for AGI, crit, or even AP, and you can already get enough HP or mana from everything else.

I wish they'd post this on their website or forum rather than Discord.

It was only melee AP back then. It's working as intended, like every other racial on here. If you don't like it, the solution is to not roll Orc Hunter. Most go Troll because it has the best racials for shooting. Orc is the melee choice.

Always night time in North AmericaDrain replied to Ryryfry's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions You get used to it after a while. Look on the bright side, you can fish nightfins during the day, as the game will insist that it's night time. Nightfins=money. Sunscales=worthless. There's no solution unless they make the game change based on client region, which is possible, but it's a whole lot of work for a whole lot of nothing in return. We still don't have a working portal inside AQ 40. My Drain Soul still isn't 36y. For fucks sake, there's still a winterspring owl in silithus. This thing has been here since day 1 from Nost. He's famous, and everyone on the server knows him. They should just give the thing a unique name at this point if they're not going to remove him. I'd rename it to "The Lost Owl".
-
With the server emptying out, you've literally no reason not to go combat. Quest areas are empty and rarely will anyone bother you anymore. Gone are the days of 15k players online with crowds fighting over every mob spawn. Now the main people trying to kill you are bored low life 60s which you could not hope to fight anyway.

Level 54 as Ally - regreting it :(Drain replied to Watari's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions You'll be happy with Alliance when you work your AV rep and do raids. Alliance own this game at 60. But some people don't care about difficulty. (Horde=hard mode raiding)

	1) Respec herb. 2) Pick plants. 3) Sell plants. This potion junkie server LOVES plants.
