How much +hit % should I aim for?

The belt gets upgraded eventually to be comparable to a Mana Igniting Cord. Can run belt / shoulders / helm for 3 set. Since there will be a line for Mish'undare, and you already have bracer of accuracy. Again, if your guild does Loot Council, if gear planing into AQ, mages would use Mish'undare and Mantle of the Blackwing while warlocks would be getting T2.5 shoulder and helm tokens before mages since the mage one doesn't have +hit, and a fire mage would want +2 crit (Mish) over 1 crit 1 hit (T2.5) on that slot. Hell even if you are DKP guild, these are two items you can let others bid for and you hold fast for Nef Tear.

How good is Felstriker for DW Fury Warrior

You want your OH to be able to hit for 300 damage+ during execute phase with as fast of an OH you can manage, not exceeding faster than a 1.5 speed (global cool down time). This will ensure your OH can generate 10 rage + (1 rage for every 30 damage done @ lvl 60) allowing your OH to fuel executes.

  5. The glancing blow is for when you are attacking a higher level mob so let's leave this off for your question. 440 Def will prevent you from being crit, yes. Not having 440 Def but having Shield Block ability up (+75% block) will prevent you from being crit as well. To address your inquiry about how specials come into play. Under the effects of Thunderclap or Thunderfury you can keep shield block up for every auto attack. However if a boss does additional abilities such as Thrash, Mortal Strike, so on and so on, then more attacks (auto or special) are consuming your shield blocks faster than your cooldown will be available. This can then lead you open to a crit or crushing blow. If you do have 440 def only a crushing blow would be possible on the auto in this case. If you don't have 440 def then it is possible that one of the specials could crit if your shield block charges are consumed before the boss performs the ability. On Nef, he attacks slow enough to handle spamming shield block to not get crit/crushed. However, on a warrior call, Shield Block is no longer an available tool and forces you into Zerker stance. Rather than taking 10% reduced damage, you are taking 10% increased damage (a 20% damage swing). If you chose to not use 440 Def on Nef you better have some cooldowns on the ready for warrior calls, cause your HP can get real spiky real fast. Bosses that people may recommend 440 Def for if your guild DPS isn't SUPER high would be: Broodlorde (Mortal Strike), Chromag (Frenzy/Enrage), Nef (Warrior Call). Once AQ40 is out, Twin Emps - Getting High Def is recommended as well. Melee do a lot of traveling and threat isn't much of a concern compared to not getting hit for 8k damage.

    About Onyxia

Magic / breath damage doesn't give rage. Also DoT type damage doesn't either. Cleave is what is fueling the additional rage.

    Speeding up updates progress

You mean the 45+ post that Nost/Anathema people were making telling you guys that you'll be bored with running MC for 7 months didn't know what they were talking about? But now the reality has hit, things should be changed to speed up to the timeline of your server when there were already existing servers presented to you as an option to play on. But the "OMG Fresh" fanboys made you regret your decision? TL:DR People didn't listen in January, now they be like:

    Beware, the Soulflayer is coming

Friendly Reminder for those new to ZG and want to max their rep: Trash mobs give rep until you hit Revered. So save your coins and bijous up until then and turn in your coins all at once to push you at least 10k rep. The Honor Tokens you get, I wouldn't trade those in for additional rep though. Hold on to these and use them to purchase "Spirit of the Zanza" for raiding. After you get your ZG Heart of Hakkar World Buff, drink a Spirit of Zanza and then buy another one to hold onto in case it expires.

How much +hit % should I aim for?

Tailor or no tailor you'll be using Bloodvine until you get some BiS items in AQ40, though if ranged dps don't reroll tailor they are stupid. That being said, to answer your question: Aim for around 10%-11% spell hit and maximize your +Spell Power. Your available +Spell Hit gear: Head: 2% from Bloodvine Goggles (if engineering) or Use Spell Power here Neck: Use Spell Power here until 1.10 Cloak: 1% from Cloak of Consumption Shoulders: Use Spell Power here Chest: 2% from Bloodvine Vest Bracer: 1% from Bracers of Arcane Accuracy Gloves: 1% from Bloodtinged Gloves Belt: Use SP here Legs: 1% from Bloodvine Leggings Boots: 1% from Bloodvine Boots Rings: 1% from Band of Forced Concentration / Pair with a + Spell Power Ring or 2% from Band of Forced Concentration / Pair with Zanzil's Seal or 3% from Zanzil's Seal / Pair with Zanzil's Band (if using Loot Council I recommend having the ring set Prio for Warlocks) Trinkets: 2% from Nef Tear (if using Loot Council I recommend moving Tear to Lock priority as mages now get 2% hit from ZG enchant +6% from talents) Weapons: 1% from Jindo's Bang of Whammies (off hand). (if using Loot Council I recommend moving OH to Lock Priority to pair with Claw of Chromag or Mageblade, and let Mages have Staff of Shadowflame) - there is a good 2 hit 1 crit staff you'll be wanting when AQ40 drops, let the mages have their Ignite crit builds. 2% from Jindo's Judgement (Staff) (if using Loot Council I recommend moving Staff to Lock Priority) This gives a list of +16% available +Spell Hit % (cap). (if engineering + 14% if not). Can use 3/8 T2 set bonus on helm / shoulders / and boots or belt (depending what else you got in those slots) to help you get a decent start. ZG 2 piece is decent as well, but you already got bracers from BWL. So I'd leave that alone for now (Shoulder Bracer). As gear becomes more and more frequent and you have more options to choose from, you may find that you might want to have 2 DPS raid sets. One that pushes your +hit up a bit more to say +13/14% on pure tank and spank bosses. For Bosses that have adds, and or simply clearing trash mobs, you may want to have a set with +8-10 hit % and more +SP/Crit to do more damage in those cases.

    2x Freezing Band

There is no internal CD and essentially doubles your chance of the proc. I rocked these back in the day and I actually Froze Rag in the biggest ice block you'll ever see when he hit my mage with a ranged attack. If you decide to use these I'd recommend running a PVP Shatter Spec since the proc puts them in a block of ice that doesn't break due to high damage, so you can Frost Bolt Crit + Cone of Cold crit and they remain frozen. The % to freeze the target isn't just with physical attacks. Magic damage will trigger it too.
  12. Thanks for the post. Always good for a refresher even if you've done it before. Will allow people have havn't done it at least get good detail on a per pull basis to limit the "I"m new" anxiety. @Talesavo The +Frost Damage For Vis, I know Nost considered + elemental damage as physical, are you sure about it not working here? https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/23014-nature-damage-from-thunderfury-other-elemental-damage-gear/?do=findComment&comment=241670 Any PTR people can let me know? I don't want to drop the gold on Icy Chill enchant on Iceblade Hacker if I don't need to.
  13. Looking through the Elysium Realmplayers, I couldn't find anybody that has this sword yet. Were the bindings dropping yet on the patch you guys were on? I ask because I know during Nost core-port; they were looking at testing bug fixes that were on Elysium but not Nost core, such as a few pally class bugs. And to see how implementing their fix affected Nost core. On Nost, the +Elemental Damage on Thunderfury (as well as other items that have +damage) were completely factored in as physical damage, subject to armor damage reductions (lowering it's dps) as well as not penetrating physical damage shields. Was there ever a PTR for Elysium that allowed for said testing if nobody obtained this sword yet? Was this item subjected to some of the "changes continued to be made" during Nost devs tweaking during Blizz induced down time?

    New to Vanilla, seeking guidance!

You should be herb, skinning. You will have to grind some, might as well be beast. You can disenchant for shards regardless of your skill rating. So you can drop skinning later for enchanting just for DE purposes. Skinning will make you more.

    Increased herbs

Yeah on Anathema stacks of the common herbs are now manageable in price. Black Lotus is still high, and is not BoP. I think this is still due to uncertainty in peoples minds about things being changed back so they are still being held on to. Also due to previous high prices, herbalist haven't been able to build up enough of a personal supply to feel comfortable with listen all additional ones they find. Hope those start working their prices down some more, but we are on the right track.
  17. Don't swap for overpower if you will lose too much rage. Some instances the stance dance can hurt your dps. You will get a feel for it.

    Horde or Alliance?

LoL. Neither side is dead. You have to enjoy your character and what is stands for in the game. Especially on a PVP server.

    This needs to stop

We would after the pain of going through it. And if doing jump run farms, it would slow things down a lot as well.

    Ret Paladins CAN DPS!

Well you run a pure PVP spec more than "ultimate utility" since you pass on Imp Ret and Imp might. IMO the "ultimate Utility" build would be: 13/21/17 http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#sE0zbZVGuI0zZxf0x0b Holy: You get Consecration paired with Imp Righteous Fury and Imp Ret Aura (makes you a G1 Pally, and best AoE threat) and helps with AoE dps. Being G1 pally = Imp buff as well :) And Imp LoH to beef up tanks on hard hitting fights (especially in later encounters) you'd be able to time it to where your mana is low, the buff is about to expire from the holy pally that pre-cast it before fight, and you can burn your last bit of mana on Imp LoH and then Maja Pot + Rune to continue NF procs. 10% mana to help make up for not taking benediction, but also increases your mana pool as a cleans bot on certain fights while you auto-attack. Prot: You get Kings for 5 man/20 Man buffing. Sanct for tanks ofc. Good block talents. Imp Righteous Fury for AoE tanking (pairing with Consecration) Ret: Improved might to 40 man raid buff, 5/10/20 man as seen fit. Imp Ret aura for G1 Tank threat and increases your AoE tanking as well. I am not sure how much you use Seal of the Crusader while raiding, but if you don't those can be moved to Benediction for more mana efficiency while using righteousness. But if you like to PVP I understand why you are Reck Spec, it's just not "ultimate utility".

    Tanking gear spreadsheet

Yeah you really can't group all gear into 1 list. I'd recommend like Duki suggested have 2 different list for weapons. Threat per second, and Survivability weapon. You can swap mid combat as the situation best sees fit. You should make 4 pages on your spreadsheet. A DEF capped list with +130 def (assuming anticipation specced) and high stam, an Aoe Tanking set with +block % as your prio stat, a max mitigation set, and an overall set. Also for gear - Neck slot Steadfast Determination > Shifting Sands in all situations. Shield - Blessed Qiraji Bulwark > The Plague Bearer unless tanking Sapp or KT (especially for pally due to not being able to push crushing blows off the table. Cloak - Cloak of the Golden Hive > Sand Storm Cloak in 50% of your gear sets (Sand Storm better in Max Mitigation/AoE sets, but Def cap and Single target threat set Golden Hive is better. Overlords Embrace > Rebout Cloak except for AoE (Except in Max mitigation/AoE sets) Rings - Overlords Crimson Band > Heavy Dark Iron Ring (Except in Max Mitigation set) Many gear slots will alternate based off these 4 situations that you'll encounter. There is very limited "this is best" items for all situations. Having the top item in all your sections doesn't make you the best geared tank. Having the best gear for the correct situation (and known when to use it) is what separates the good from the great.

    Ret Paladins CAN DPS!

Yeah you bring ONLY gear and consumables (basic ones for your alternate roles) and bank what you don't need like raid keys to other places. You won't be looting everything as guild officers will be looting majority of items to themselves for guild bank and gear token items for people in line for loot. A feral druid is expected to have the same gear set/versatility. Having 4x 18 slot bags from either ZG or Ony (we bid ours out to guild members), this gives you 8 more slots to hold gear and helps a bit when bringing everything to raid.

    Ret Paladins CAN DPS!

His DPS could have been higher though, as he has 2 points into "an eye for an eye" which is a PVP talent. For pure PVE ret and for a bit more damage (he doesn't go OOM in his fights) he could have taken both points out of an "eye for an eye" put 1 into Consecration and 1/2 imp ret aura (or keep 1/2 eye for an eye for pvp). If taking 1/2 imp ret aura, then you don't need 5/5 imp devo as the holy spec/Kings buffing pally should get imp devo. He could have taken Rebout and paired with Consecration been decent AoE tank, not great due to not having imp rightous fury, but still better snap aggro than a warrior tasked to aoe tank.
