  1. Comcast doesn't like it's members downloading from specific websites and what not. They've had of history of canceling people's service and hitting them with the an early termination fee for breach of contract (after many warnings). Specifically previous heavy users of Piratebay. Just be more mindful of where you download things from.

It was taking 6-7 hours longer to farm gold to afford consumables than it did 11 years ago that you could farm in 1 hour back then. This is a fact. A change to accommodate was needed. That does not mean casuals are being catered to. They increased spawn rates of mobs, is this not the same thing? Or were casuals being catered to again? The Admin/Leadership team have held true of emulating a Vanilla experience the best they can and are always improving upon this. 1x leveling rates, progressive content, accurate PVP-Ranking system. As long as the goal is to "emulate" the time investments outside of raiding to be a successful end-game raider, this change too is only to more accurately represent the Vanilla feel while maintaining a larger population.

    2Handed warrior specc?

You should be able to join some pug ZGs (if on Anathema) as Arms DPS since you'll hold your own on the trash and a lot of bosses have some things to cleave down. Debuff slots are usually not reached as easilly in a 20 man. This allows you to quickly pick up a Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds which literally gets thrown at whoever the hell says they want it to avoid a shard or vendor. Also you can go to some MC groups that have it on farm but may be short handed. Warm-Body > Nobody.

Currently leveling Anathema / Zeth'Kur players welcome! Considering transferring from Zeth'Kur with a small group of players/friends/family? No problem. We always value having members in raid that NEED gear rather than seeing it disenchanted and veterans are more than happy to sit for you to ensure fair playing time. Message me if this is you for more information on your goals, our mission, and if anything clicks.

I sold off mine. Cause I can resupply at a cheaper rate with the gold I make from them now.

Pretty much this. It is normal to stock pile. Especially while there are limited raids. Once AQ is out you are adding a 40 man and 2 more 20 mans every week possible. This takes away from farm time, so people stock up now.

No, the threat caused by the TF debuffs was lowered because tanks still tanked with it later into the expansion for threat.

TF was 30% could proc off itself, stacked with Thunderclap. Then it was 15% proc with no longer proving off itself, and doesn't stack. Then buffed back to 20% then 25% and changed from.main hand to one hand.
  10. A lot of established guilds are recruiting on Anathema. Private server turnover rate is high. There is a gap of players that we didn't have as a server hit 60 cause of 2x fresh realms. So a lack of new blood has guilds running 35 man and even lesser people in MC. Another group of players taking breaks until AQ.
  11. Horde to alliance is most balanced on Anathema. 46% Alli 54% horde. The active daily player-base is about 2x of a full vanilla server so you won't be too overrun in regards to population. 5 mans are still very active for the level 15-54 groups looking to run things. The prices for good blues, pre-raid epics are cheaper now than they were pre-shutdown for items like Hide of the Wild, Lionheart helm, by around 33% cheaper. Most raiders have these already so not a lot of buyers for them. There is still very much a sense of community. The trolling in world chat isn't as bad as it was when server first opened, and a lot of the cancerous community has moved on to other projects at this point, which is nice. Guilds that are in MC/ZG only are still recruiting, even the BWL clearing guilds would love new people. The opening of both fresh servers took a lot of the new blood that continues to hit 60 out of the mix and left a lot of guilds needing to fill holes in their rosters with players that simply do not exist. So there will always be room for you and your bred-team to play. Feel free to start looking at the Anathema guild sections to get idea of guilds that would fit your families time zones/days to play. I could tell you now that our guild and many others would welcome any of the ZK players with open arms and help in the gearing process. The bad is being addressed. Which is the lack of herbs available vs the amount of consumables being used each week by the large amount of guilds raiding on the server compared to a vanilla retail server. They are adjusting spawn rates next update for Anathema and Elysium. Many people were having to farm too much for too little of a return of goods. With this adjustment, expect to see less farming binges and more battlegrounds, 5 mans, and people organizing more world pvp.

    Rogue RFD Farming pp

I would highly recommend doing this with herbalism as well. There are several grave-moss nodes and 1 fadeleaf (maybe 2) that you can hit in this zone which are used for greater shadow protection potions. This will greatly increase your GPH.

    Bump for mage.
  14. BRB getting my red pen.
  15. Yeah you make a good point on this. Pretty much people don't want to feel they have to roll Hunter/Mage to make gold as they don't want to invest that time. They forget that in Naxx, that some hunters had to have alts of pure dps / healer classes. Bring your hunter for x fight, and then swap to your alt so you can be productive. It worked well since gear tokens were available the obligation to be at 100% of all boss kills incase RNGesus decided to show up was not as harsh. I see people state a lot they are gonna level a mage/hunter as a farm alt. My question to them is, well how much gold to you plan on farming with it and see if it is actually worth it to them. As a Prot warrior I can make 40-60GPH on Anathema easy with different methods, none that involve herbing/mining. (forgive me for not sharing my ways). So take the mid of 50GPH. Let's say a hunter is managing 100GPH before DM nerf. It takes me 8 days played to get to 60, + the time investment of getting gear to perform this task. Do some pre-raid gearing. So I can now get in a few pug MCs/guild alt runs and lets say 12 days played (288 hours) you got a decent hunter alt to pull off DM North solo pretty quickly I got minimal my T1 and Hunter Quest Bow. Now you are ready to farm DM North forever (pre-nerf). Or I could have just got 50GPH on my prot warrior instead in the same time investment. 0 Hours of farming on Hunter Alt: Hunter 0 gold. Prot warrior: 14,400g. 100 Hours of farming on Hunter Alt: Hunter 10,000g. Prot warrior: 19,400g 150 hours farming on Hunter Alt: Hunter 15,000g Prot Warrior: 21,900g 250 hours farming on Hunter Alt: Hunter 25,000g Prot Warrior: 26,900g 289 hours farming on Hunter Alt: Hunter 28,900g Prot Warrior: 28,850g It would take another 12 days played on top of leveling and gearing (24 days played on hunter) to make more gold than you could just by playing your "non gold making main". The ironic thing about the break even point is in another thread I did the math on how expensive Naxx + AQ raiding weekly would be with current consumable prices using 5 flask a week as well (1 for Twin Emps + and 2 for each Naxx night) it came out to around 25,000g needed to sustain full consumables for 6 months of raiding both. So do you really need that farming alt? Seeing as I can cover my raiding cost at 50% the GPH rate of the Hunter I have to contribute time to?
  16. Yeah for sure would be more work for them and would have to be executed well. You then have the accounts from players that WILL miss this window of if a token system were implemented. So IF it is a chose your server type of transfer option, those whom do not take this option after X amount of time could be moved to Elysium systematically. I still hold firm on my believe that the community will get an update on this soon, since the lease for that server is set to expire next month. Though 3+ more weeks of no word could continue the negative trend. On the flip side, they can't show their hand too early or it will result in a mass of people jumping to that server to either 1: Level alts they know they can transfer later to avoid the difficulties they may find on another server, 2: excessively farm too much of certain items to gain a competitive edge on their future realm. Keep your heads held high ZK people. I'm sure you guys will hear something before too long.

    Herb spawn rate

This was done back then as well. #Alts Doesn't need multiple accounts. Also guilds would do this as a whole. I think you do not give people enough credit for knowing how to farm in 2005/6. Many of us came from DaoC or Everquest. We KNEW how to grind. DM East jump runs were just as big then as there are now. Bring an enchanter, a miner and 3 man it. Stealth Coffer runs and LBRS runs were non-stop spammed LFM at all times of day on my server. People were always at Tyre Hand. Elementals in Silithus, Arathi, Badlands were always being farmed. People made hunter alts just so they could 2 hunter speed farm Mara. Hunters soloed DM North and would sell mana pots by the masses. Mages and Pallies aoe farmed Scourage. Add-ons were a thing and were used back then. Also Thottbot had all the maps for nodes. I am confused with your connection of pre-raid BiS knowledge majority of which are BoP. Unless this is specifically a devisaure plug. I'll point Prices in general are not inflated. No more than expected for the duration the server has been out. Factoring in high turn-over rates with the gold on inactive accounts, inflation as a whole has been pretty moderate on Anathema. In many cases prices for some items have been drastically lower than they were within the first couple of months of server release. I provided some examples above, however another good example is Hide of the Wild. It's about 2/3 the cost of what it was when released. This is all just supply vs demand. The demand for Lionheart helms/Hide of the Wild was high then. Now it isn't so much to the point that it supersedes server inflation. To get a good estimate on what our current inflation rates are, it is best to look at smaller items that drop from near unlimited resources ie: very easy to farm. It takes looking at a list of items and getting the average rate of increase to get a general idea. 30%-35% seems to be where the general inflation rate it at. But this poorly titled thread isn't the issue at all. Inflation would be equal time investment = same purchase power. ie: farm 10 minutes = 5 consumables at start of server when everything is low price. farm 10 min = 5 consumables at end of server when everything is high price. This is inflation and it does not harm the community. It helps it. Because the game itself has fixed vendor prices on mounts, repairs, and gold sinks. Making these less trivial for everybody. We are simply experiencing an issue with supply vs demand. ie: farm 10 minutes = 5 consumables at start of server. and currently now farm 10 minutes = 1/2 a consumable.

What you are stating is Elysium Specific, which you guys won't have content which needs flask for what.... at least 1.25 years? IT will change to non-soulbound on the 1.7 ZG patch. Elysium server will get many more flask recipe drops. Typically guilds do guild pre-raid UBRS runs and give the flask to a guild alch, or sell Molten Core Mats and buy the flask pattern with guild bank money (what we did way back when). In regards to drop rates, pre-Nost shutdown they had the black lotus pop x8 more often ie: 15 minutes compared to 2 hours. This was when we had a concurrent pop of 12k people all times of the day. 4 times a vanilla pop with x3 the time zones played on same server. 12 x the amount of people. Anybody flasking on Elysium is for speed run only unless you are a new guild with tanks with no FR and want to help get the first few kills down with buffing 2 tanks until you get more mats for Dark Iron sets. Do understand that some of us have been playing Vanilla servers for many years and the majority of that is doing 2 40 man raids. Speed clears and flexing epeens is a form of keeping the motivation up by adding competition amongst peers while RNGesus has your way with you on a weekly basis. I personally think the 40 man speed clear has lost some outsider interest. Would be cool to see some speed clear 30 man / 20 Man MC videos IMO, give something new to do. These 40 man speedrunners doing 2 20 man runs (double the chances at Bindings, Choker/Band of Accuria, and more Caut ring/Regrowth Shoulders) It does give a fresh spin on things, and takes a majority of your team interested in do so. Our team doesn't do speed running, but I do understand why others do. Typically RP realms were low to medium populations at best, my server was 750+ queue weeknights up until 1.12.2, flask topped out at around 56g at the end. So I'm sure demand was greater as well some more inflation due to a higher population. High turnover rate on a private server helps slow inflation by a lot. Would love to know the amount of gold that is currently setting on inactive accounts > 1 month w/o a logon. Also imagine the amount of gold that got left behind during the Anathema toon transfer from Nost.

Playing the game of Vanilla instead of farmville. Just speaking for myself here, but I raid for epics/great gear so I can play other aspects of the game more enjoyably (ie wrecking face). I really enjoy 5 mans though I need no gear from them. I like participating in world PVP, and the occasional battleground. I like tanking for AV groups though I need no rep. I am unable to participate in any of these parts of end-game due to the time investment ratio to raiding being way off the scales at the moment. I only do some jed/rend runs for NR tank helm and back to farming. I farm a lot, and it is apart of Vanilla; I am not saying it shouldn't be. It is just way off in terms of what the "Vanilla" grind was for obtaining what you need. Many people commenting on this thread are focused on this being a speed clear thing or, it isn't needed for farmed content. The issue isn't with what is farmed. AQ + require more from everybody. On top of having more consumable-counter related mechanics, more of your available playing time is funneled into the additional content. This gives increases the consumable consumption rate and lowers available farm time, which then the current demand > supply hurts more. You don't need 9k+ population for the server to feel alive. You need resources to be at a reasonable level to get people out of the fields they farm in, as often as they are in them now. When the obligation to farm 100% of the time is no longer there, then you'll see more participation from a majority of active players within 5/10 mans, battle grounds, holding down a portion of a zone against the opposite faction, contributing more to war effort. Remember you see 2x the population of a full vanilla realm right? But it's spanned across 3 player bases (NA/EU/OC) which in Vanilla were on different servers. So then you think okay 6x the active daily population, 6x the resources right? Well no. That alone isn't enough. Servers had 3-5 guilds per faction raiding beyond BWL. We got 111 guilds that clear BWL. Also being as there is never the low pop portions of a day, there is never empty farming zones/areas for early birds and those farming throughout the night here and there. Resource availability would ideally need to be x10 of what was available in 2005/06 to counter the current Anathema player-base. We'll see the amount of guilds clearing BWL when Elysium gets to that point. For those who feel uncertain about changes like these, you have to ask yourself what the Mission of the project is. If it is to bring back and emulate as close as possible what a few of us here were lucky enough to live out 12 years ago, then this change is in line with their mission. The Vanilla emulation isn't just boss mechanics, talent trees, gear itemization. It extends to accurately emulating of the out of raid time investments needed to be successful yet still have enough time to enjoy other facets of the game besides raiding.

Right, but that isn't all of what he is asking. He is asking what proc can proc off of other procs. A Deathbringer shadow bolt can proc other procs except HoJ, windfury. A Vis'Kag wound proc can proc other procs except HoJ, Sword specialization, windfury.

Just the Extra attack abilities (and Thunderfury due to later change) are limited to needing an actual weapon swing contact to proc. So Sword specialization, HoJ, and Thunderfury. Other than that, the other chance on hit items should be able to chain into infinity if you hit the RNGesus lottery.

    Procs off Procs

Procs could proc off of other procs. Displayed also in a video @killerduki linked in my proc rate thread regarding fiery Weapon. The crap geared pally in vid does an auto attack and it then has 2 fiery procs, also another timer gets a triple proc. I had a rogue alt back in the day, and I did a proc build which topped metters (keep in mind this was pre-AQ so talent builds for other classes sucked ie fury/rogue). I ran combat swords with Vis'kag + Fiery + instant poison / Zulian Slicer + Fiery + instant poison. 2/4 Storm Shroud (Nature damage) + 3/4 Storm Shroud (Extra energy) + DMC: Maelstrom + HoJ + Sword Specialization + Dragonbreath Chilli. All of these helped proc more 3/4 storm shroud giving 3/4 of a free sinister strike, and I would stop meters with my only Epic gear was Vis'Kag and DMC Maelstrom. Granted I was only going against people that geared 5/8T1 3/8 T2 mages with ZG hit items + enchants and what not, but still w/o items like Band of Accuria, T2 chest, T2 bracer, Ony neck, I put out the deeps by 2005 standards due to procs proccing off of other procs. In regards to what should have a global cooldown, very few items have one. One of which is the Force Reactive Disk should have a 1 second internal global cooldown to prevent it going off too much and breaking before you can even take it off.
