Well, what ya should do is throw away the WTF and WDB folders and let all that crap just rewrite itself when you sign on. The only thing you have to change is the realmlist.wtf file. Or if you want to save all of your settings and add ons, just rewrite the folder's name in WTF>Account>(account name)>(server name folder). Change that folder's name from Kronos to Nostalrius PvP or whichever server you're going to play. There's a good chance a couple addons will be screwy looey, but reloading a couple addons is much easier than doing everything all over again. Oh, you'd have to change your character name folders inside of there too, if they have different names from kronos to nostalrius.

To me, the reason why my little pic there and uncle ganuses is important is: people have a strong tendency to want to associate and seek order in their world. This is something that was never really exploited by WoW.

I honestly think that Blizz should have started on the next big MMO when they rolled out WoD. Should have just stopped with WoW already. It's become too unwieldy and there's no fixing it. I know everyone thinks there's no money in MMO's, but for chrissake there's all these people still playing 'em that are willing to pay subscriptions every month. They should just relegate WoW to their own progressive legacy servers and start a new game. Something based on all the "good stuff" they have learned over the years. Something immersive, lore-based, and socially oriented. I believe there are ways to balance casual game play with hardcore. There are ways to balance pvp with pve in the same world. There are even ways to, geographically and through lore, encorporate unintentional RP on a large scale. oh, and...

Yup. I only had an idea from the whispers. But by the time 6.2 rolled out....bleh. It happened to precede the launch of Nostalrius and give me the exact right amount of time to discover the world. : ) Was an extremely lucky coincidence. In other words: thank god that 6.2 was just that bad.

I never played it. Someone described the talent trees to me and that sounded like exactly what I had been thinking of. Someone told me how dangerous it was. Someone told me how social it was. I was never nostalgic for it, because I had never been here.

You have to want something ideally better to come here and see for yourself. You'd have to think and feel there was probably something better out there. You'd have to know somehow. I never played a private server before, but I knew in my heart from the brief, secret, nostalgic whispering descriptions of vanilla that there was something better. All the retail forums sounds were silenced as I found my way through youtube hype and understood from exploration how to connect myself to Nostalrius, and to a larger extent I understood the intracacies of the private server world then. I found something glorious. We can't expect anyone else to put in the effort to understand. We can just sing our songs and know that some will hear. Some will come. Some will stay. I have 2 months of banked time on my frozen account in retail and enough gold to buy a year if I wanted.

Who cares. Retail forums are the worst.

Nope, those are two different things. I know all of Pottu's remarks look daunting, it's only because he is covering every base, but read those when we can create GAME accounts. They'll let us know when. If the application is running for you now, yer in good shape. Just follow the game account creation instructions when they say it's cool to go.

torrents are a complex sytem of downloading through file sharing created by an technologically advanced species from outerspace. The important thiing to know is you need a torrent app like the one posted above, utorrent, in order to make the download. Honestly if i were you, I'd download chrome and do the Mega download..or firefox with that add-on up there and do the mega download.

What Pottu is saying next to the torrent file download link is that you have to have an application that deals with torrents to download that torrent file, like- http://www.utorrent.com He's not saying you have to use that download link.
