Ya some of it was funny. But it was hard to get anything useful out of a lot of threads....between all the tags, signatures, edgy screen shots and one sentence statements that pretty much looked like this: "LOL U FRAKTARD DIE LOL". Weren't dealing with a roomfull of rocket scientists for sure. It all came around. It will here too. Honestly it's already 10x better.

It specifically refers to kill trading cross faction. Whether with one's own toons, or a collaboration of cross faction entities. There are some rather insidious ways to do this. For example: People that make guilds on both factions, populate them, and sit in VOIP together to organize premades queuing agaisnt PUGS or against themselves over and over and over. You can allow for very quick, consecutive wins in BGs this way and organze to jump out of less profitable queues.

When Nost first started, there was so much venom on forums and in world chat. A lot of these people don't last more than a week once they realize they have to make relationships. These are just internet trolls. Only the hardest of hardcore trolls will be left after a month and they're laughable. Don't worry my friend. It'll all be ok.

Can't make any generalizations about player base that are necessarily true. The fact is, the servers are just different by nature because of the pvp flag. So people act differently due to mechanics. People tend to be a more helpful and compassionate because there is no incentive to be otherwise on a PvE server. If someone's main interest is jumping people in world pvp, they will be lonely and discouraged on a PvE server. I can say if you need PvP rankings, you can rank just as effectively, sometimes more effectively on PvE. if you're interested in raiding only, you won't lose time and effort to battles at instance entrances or waiting for stragglers that cannot make it anywhere near the entrance due to ganking. What I do miss, is organized world pvp on pve servers, that's not the same at all. It's a trade off between the possibility of an exciting encounter at every turn and being able to reliably get stuff done.

Lots of the work was already well underway on Nostalrius for TBC...so the groundwork is truly there already. They just don't want to think about it at this time and that's totally cool. The fresh server will also be PvP....but from the beginning as the Nost PvP server is @ patch 1.8.

Oh ok you'll be fine then. It's a great place to start. There will be tons of helpful people around to answer questions. Get in a guild with friendly helpful people. This is a super social version of the game : )

Wait were you starting it up from the launcher or wow.exe? Use the wow.exe.

ka.ba..were you the one that sad you had a wineskin version going? If they don't fix it anytime soon maybe me or you could make one for people as a temporary patch. It sucks, but its waaaaaaay better than not having it.

Great news for me. Instead of PvE being up to 8 weeks later from PvP launch. I guess this is a good way to try to spread new pop around. We'll be getting a lot more new folks on PvE than we would have otherwise. We need some more people stepping up and declaring guild resurrections or new guild creations on PvE server. I did like some of the PvP battles on PvP realm, especially the full scale assaults. What I didn't appreciate was, in the beginning I believe a 60 could still get honor from killing someone as low as a forty or maybe it a forty five. and since horde had to wait forever in queues, they decided to instead just farm at the Fps for everyone that landed. I mean, that skeleton carpet at Menenthil was kinda funny ha. But honestly I think we had to have server restarts just to clear it. : P Even when they moved the honor up to 50 or higher, those guy didnt stop camping the Fp in Menethil. I would stay there for hours too in shadomeld trying to gank the gankers. I have to tell you, a couple of those guys (and you know who you are), had some real life personal issues. Honestly they'd switch over to their Ally toons to whisper me some hardcore nonsense. We're talking like real, clinical mental issues : ) Now the guys that ganked the hell out of everyone at Morgan's, those guys were alright. I still hated 'em, but they weren't insane. I think they found my feeble attempt to repel them hour after hour, day after day amusing at the least.

Did you move the divdecoder.dll out of the wow folder too? Did you put the realmlist back in the wow folder? If your divx file is indeed corrupted and you used a torrent to download it, you could go back to downloading that and only select the dll files for download, won't take long at all.

We need a lot more guilds formed or resurrected. We're gonna get It big in the beginning and im guessing the 300 member cap is still going to be there. A lot of us were already in the 250+ range with constantly needing to kick people for an ever decreasing inactivity range. The thing is, when we get back we can't start kicking for awhile, because we won't know for sure who is coming back and who isn't. NEED MORE GUILDS.

PvP: Flagged for PvP everywhere but your factions cities and starting zones. it's on about patch 1.8. Much larger pop than the PvE realm. PvE: you need to flag yourself for pvp...or get tricked into it : P on about patch 1.5. smaller pop, but still a large enough pop by any measure.

Bug tracker is down for maintenance. I'm hoping it's going to come back up with this particular issue marked as solved and closed. If not, I'll probably be doing some laptop juggling. I used to have a wineskin version that I'd switch to for boats, but I don't feel like wrapping that up again.

Meh, there's been a small handful of people making noise abot relative pops. The thing is, if we want to see what is settng up for crazytown, just head over to guild corner and take a looksee at where the activity is. Doesn't matter if someone thinks otherwise. : )
