Right, it was coming up. Nano did put these notes in his Dev Blog: Prepare BWL for the Nostalrius PvE relaunch to ensure the issues faced on the PvP server do not repeat Clean up pre-nerf AV to make the battleground more accurate and enjoyable I hope he makes a new entry soon. Like reading his stuff. But AV had to of been out for more than a week. I've got my exalted rep there..unless i went batcrap crazy on it, which is possible. That also reminds me...the rep items weren't all there. I hope they fix that soon as I'm waiting around for my epic offhand.

We did find a solution for this in another thread. It's a conflict with newer OS and old applications. Refer to this one: https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=23403 You need to run the app as a root, which is outlined on bottom of that thread.

Pottu was referring to someone's question about the difficulty of reporting someone who had accents in their name, not reporting someone because they had accents in their name.

Ya it was hard for me too. I think many of the people that would prefer to use accents in ways that are famliar to them, purposefully don't use them for this very reason. And then there's the complete idiots that use an umlaut on every freaking letter and then, Im sure they can't figure out why no one will group with them : P I had a list on Nost, of things to NOT do. One of them was to NOT make a character name you knew you'd regret, but then go ahead and level it up anyways.

Hm. Maybe well down the road after all things stabilize, they might be interested...who knows. It is a topic that came up ad nauseum on nost forums as well. That being said, I don't think we have to be worried about pop.

well...I spent the first two days just laughing and looking around on Nost PvP. Overall, if the server is stable, probably won't make much difference in the long run.

Diacriticals are parts of people's real names. It's like saying I prefer to not use the letter O. I don't even know if you could script the server to not include the full alphabet that is on your keyboard. All of these accent marks are in your system. They just aren't on the top level because then your English keyboard would be four times bigger : ) http://symbolcodes.tlt.psu.edu/accents/codealt.html I did find some irritation myself dealing with those characters, because on mac it's a series of keystrokes to find the alt characters and not a number sequence like windows uses. Oh I do suppose on US realms they did disable the accents....I don't remember seeing any.

I'm gonna guess 30-60 is probably three times as long as 1-30. Who knows though. I can tell you it takes me about 3 months to level, whereas some people in my guilds do it in two weeks....which is kooky-crazy to me. I just can't be interested in speed. There are guides out there that show the most efficient way to level, step by step.

If you still have the original Notalrius WoW folder, dig down through the WTF folder to see account and character names. Realmplayers still has nost character's by names, but no longer any of the guilds. You might have been able to find your other toons that way, by guild that is...but not now as they're gone. Go mess around with names on realmplayers, maybe you'll remember.

em...diacriticals mean just as much or little, in one's native tongue as anyone else's language. There's no difference between a string of meaninglessness romanic characters "xfrt" and a representation of accents. None whatsoever.
