What makes you think ToEP is "drastically better" for spell damage?

Does Ground Scorpok Assay stack?
Prancinglid replied to hmmstuff's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I believe the agility and intellect do not interfere (they do stack) with any buffs or consumables, but the badlands Stam and Spirit ones do not stack with zanza pots. -

Scuba Cops Fight the Good Fight (guild world pvp)
Prancinglid posted a topic in Live Streams & Videos
Who is Scuba Cops? Scuba Cops is a group of friends who's sole purpose is to keep Anathema safe. Our methods range from detaining single targets to search and destroy missions. We seek to keep The Mountain safe by persecuting the Horde who try to enter it fully buffed with the intention of killing everything in their path. Why are you doing this? It is true that our main purpose is to push back the evils that stay beyond the great orbs and portals, but there is so much injustice in Azeroth. The shameful acts of Horde everywhere has forced us to bring the fight into the open World that we have all come to love and enjoy. Justice must be served! Have you been successful in persecuting the Horde? Through planning and real world training, we have had great success keeping The Mountain safe. However, the Horde gangs have grown a strong disliking for the Cops and what we stand for. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/117122982 While we were on duty last night, the Horde gangs Team Blackout, Momentum, Earth Walkers, and Reign teamed up to destroy the Cops. In the end, we were greatly outnumbered and the enemy was successful. Although the death of any Cop is a mournful one, it was especially sad when the entire Scuba Cops Blackrock Mountain Task Force was put down. However, all that we have worked towards was not done in vain. 40 of us may have been defeated, but where they have had success in killing 40, we have had success in killing 100s. I will admit, the bravery displayed by most of these Horde gangs was inspiring. Where I once would have looked at them and spit, I now view them as a respectable adversary. You should take note of your patron, Reign. WILL YOU CONTINUE TO STAY IN THE BACK, OR WILL YOU FIGHT? -

You won't reap many benefits from going Tailoring. Starting out, making bags can be helpful while leveling, but you will not see any significant cash flow from selling bags. If I were you I would level herbalism and skinning. Skinning is great for noobs because it is easy to level and you can vendor or sell the leather in the auction house for some consistent cash flow (which you will desperately need for buying spells and your mount). Once you hit 60, I would drop skinning and pick a different profession once you have a better understanding of the game and you figure out what you want to do. You may decide enchanting is good if you want to do a lot of PvE things so you can disenchant items and give yourself item stats (rather than finding others to do it), or you may end up liking PvP a lot, in which case you will want to go engineering. If you decide you want to farm materials and make gold, you can pick up mining so you have a dual gathering professions.

Myself and others in our guild have been doing logistic badge runs for the past hour and NO ONE is seeing a badge that isnt 4-7 or 10. Also, sometimes the Logistics Assignment will have nothing in it. I thought originally it was because I already had the task briefing in my bag, but it will show the briefing in the Assignment envelope for some briefings that I already have. As I said, after 40+ runs between atleast 3 people in the past hour, we are ONLY seeing Briefing IV-VII and X. VII and X seem to be by far the most common ones. I was under the impressions there should be an equal chance to get I - X.

What are you trying to figure out exactly? I am not the most knowledgable player when it comes to playing shadowpriest, but I do strive to be efficient in PvE when it comes to providing maximum DPS as a raid support class. There are lots of tricks to maximizing your DPS in raids, but if you are just trying to make it through a fight, consider what I said in the above post. As I said, always aim for doing the most damage by using your damage gear. If you go OOM, start switching out damage gear for mp5 gear. Use r10 shoulders and helm in place of hexxers cover and blackwing cabaal, shard of the scale instead of a non mp5 trinket, jeklines opaline talisman instead of choker of the firelord or the DMF neck, etc. If you aren't in a guild where this gear level substitutions isn't possible/realistic, downrank on spells and don't use mindblast (your most mana inefficient shadow weaving spell).

Less forum browsing and more video making. First OGs video gets repeatedly taken down and then Goth 2. MADNESS. Need Goth v.3.

Enchant 2h weapons +25 agility
Prancinglid replied to Miniji5's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Might be wrong, but I think people on the old Elysium server had it and it stayed on the weapons when they merged the servers. -
Outside: go there.

Just pretend spirit isn't an actual stat. Once you get to a certain point in PvE raiding, aim for your full BiS damage pieces. If you are fully consumed, buffed, and using dark tunes and major manas on CD, and you are going OOM, start swapping out damage gear for mp5 to see you through the fight. If your guild struggles to clear things at a reasonable rate then stop using mindblast and downrank on spells if you have to. For MC and BWL, I am able to use full DPS gear and use mindblast on CD for every fight except for Nef and Ragnaros (Rag is really close). Get in bed with a Druid, because innervates are swell.

Horde need to pick it up on the War Effort
Prancinglid replied to Forest_'s topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Firebloom in craftables is pretty much useless until AQ comes out. I understand that a lot of people have crafted and stockpiled firepower, oils, etc. But none of that matters until AQ is actually done. GO FARM MORE MATS. I feel that there is a large number of people who are holding onto their stockpiled mats because they have the expectation that Elysium will cave and complete the Effort for us. I hope for a change Elysium keeps their mouth shut and hopefully all the entitled pricks that are used to having everything handed to them realize they need to actually participate and help in order to get something they want. I get that when you take a break from reddit to pull out your phone calculator, it looks impossible (omgomgwtf type of impossible) to complete some of the items like firebloom, kelp, bars, etc. If it is so fucking overwhelming, then focus on the other mats first. I have faith that after a couple months, if the progress on some items has been extremely minimal and people have been actually TRYING to complete them, then Elysium will intervene to ensure the Effort gets completed in a timely manner (sometime sooner than 2019 like all these fucktards are talking about). It hasn't even been a week yet. Discuss on how we need to get things done, and stop being worms and trying to squirm out of doing any actual work. -

Alexensual banned yet?
Prancinglid replied to JustAThrowAway's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Unless Alexensual is clearly breaching ToS, get on with your lives and play the game. Do I like alexensual? No, he is a lousy person without any sort of respectable credentials. People are mad because some kid living in his parents house has to make a video about every stupid thing that pops in their head and isn't a "stand up guy" when it comes to ACCEPTING RANDOM PEOPLES DONATIONS? Welcome to the internet. TLDR: alexensual isn't "the face" of vanilla WoW. If you want to support Elysium and the community, do so by supporting it directly. Play the game, donate to the server if you are feeling generous, and don't flood our message boards with pointless shit. I am sorry if his fan boys had the vine snap they were nut swinging on. -
This shouldnt be necessary. If you want to stack up shadow weaving as fast as possible, using the longest channel spell you have isn't the way to do it. You are better off spamming r1 swp at the start of the fight. If you are wanting it for another purpose, it isn't hard to count to 5 or look at the little number on the debuff slot.

Shadow Priest PvP videos / VODs?
Prancinglid replied to Ntbud's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I disagree with Maso. It is true that an spriests kit is rather simple, so it can be easily denounced as a zero skill cap class. However, there are plenty of ways to play an spriest at a top level - properly prioritizing spells, trinkets and engineering items. Spell predicting, and probably one of the biggest things for an spriest, managing mana for a given situation. Unfortunately there aren't any great examples of this. Zzi's video is pretty decent, but it lacks any footage that could be considered "exceptional". There are some decent clips that can be found on Dush/Goth's YouTube of some spriest play and some footage of other classes dueling spriests (Perplexity PvP). -
I was doing a 31/0/20 for a couple months leading up to ZG, and it was fun and effective. Obviously, there is no downside to speccing this way if your raid is competent and geared enough to keep everyone up for the fights. Generally, the boss fights would go something like this: 1. Cast r1 mindflay and cancel it as soon as it connects to apply the shadow weaving debuff. 2. Repeat step 1 4 times to apply 5 stacks of shadow weaving. 3. Spot heal raid, bubble DPS, fear ward or dispel where needed. 4. Cast r1 mindflay and cancel once every 12 seconds to keep up the 5 stacks of shadow weaving. 5. PI your most geared caster, being sure to coordinate with the caster on WHEN to give them PI so it doesn't conflict with spell and other CD rotations. 6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the boss fight ends.

I just got done installing a new hard drive and 1060 Nvidia card. I was hoping to try out Shadowplay, but I am not able to get any recordings to work with vanilla WoW. I made sure there aren't any in-game key bind conflicts with the recording shortcuts. I am able to pull up the Nvidia screen while in game and even with clicking the "record" button manually, it will not record any video footage. I am able to use the "screen shot" feature, but anything related to recording has not worked for me. I have tried doing this when the game is in windowed mode and full screen. Any thoughts? As I said, I just installed a new internal SSD as well, so I just finished installing drivers for everything. I made sure the Nvidia drivers are the newest available. Is there something I am overlooking? Thanks
