Yeah, the GMs are totally just going around the servers, selecting random players, and banning them for fun that's totally happening yeah I mean think about that for a second. If they were truly doing that, that would just be more work for them. More ban appeals to go through, more crying threads to delete/lock, and more time spent NOT working on other things that need their attention. This is why I find it ridiculous when people like you insist that GMs are banning people "for no reason". On top of already having seen hundreds upon hundreds of cases, of people crying that they were banned by the literally-hitler GMs, and then said GM comes in and reveals that they were buying gold.

No, it does not drop off of "any black dragon", it only drops from Ony. Look at the dates on those Wowhead comments. The one saying that it drops from dragons in burning steppes is from 2009...that was Wrath, not vanilla.

Yeah, you don't have to learn earlier ranks first. You can go straight for whatever the highest rank your pet can learn.

Bruh, training pet abilities is not as obvious as you think it is. I've been playing since 2007 and when I first tried Hunter on old nost, I had no fucking clue how to give my pet abilities other than Growl. It's not explained anywhere ingame.

I'd like them to focus on fixing and perfecting vanilla before starting on other expansions.

Why Kargath? You're so far away from major cities, and only close to BRD/UBRS and the current raids. If you're in full preraid BIS and only run MC/BWL, yeah sure, kargath is a good place to set hearth. But outside of that, I prefer Orgrimmar, since you're right in the middle of Kalimdor, and can easily take zep to the top or bottom of Eastern Kingdoms.

Try deleting the lua and lua.bak files in the WTF folder, then, and re-configuring it.

When I played on 3.3.5 servers, Carbonite had a feature that, when you leveled up, it would print a list of new spells / spell ranks available in chat. Is there any addon in vanilla that can do this? Just to save me from having to keep going to vanillagaming DB and looking at the spell list over and over.

I can't seem to find a (working) addon that will show me how far away my target is. Yes, I know that in vanilla these addons can only approximate based on your abilities; the ones that I've found just don't work at all. I tried "Distance" but it just shows "25" no matter how close or far I am from the target.

Strength increases melee damage for all classes, so yes. And yes, mail gear with Str on it is fine, though warriors might whine and cry at you for rolling on it. But don't drop Agi for Str; both stats are important for Enh.

Are you sure that your totem set is active? And that "enable totem sets" is checked?

Hunter is the hardest class to level 1-10 because no pet. Once you tame your pet, Hunter becomes literally the fastest and easiest leveling class. If you're new to WoW, I'd suggest playing with no addons and just adding them one at a time as you go. Stuff like Shagu UI contains tons of addons in one pack. That's vanilla for you. A lot of the time you're going to be fighting mobs that are equal or slightly higher level than you. Vanilla questing does not have good pacing at all, so you will have to do two or even three different zones at the same time, just to have enough appropriate-level quests. Pets automatically gain loyalty levels just by having them active. You have to gain 5% of your EXP and then wait a certain amount of in-game time (with your pet out) and it will automatically gain loyalty levels. At low loyalty, yes, you'll need to feed it like all the time. Get "PetFeeder" addon, it makes things much easier. NOTE: The happiness meter in the default pet menu is bugged, it always shows as happy. This is why you need a pet feeding addon, because it will actually show you when your pet needs to be fed. As for pet, it really doesn't matter; there are no "bad" pets, especially for leveling. For a new player, I'd recommend a Boar, since they will eat almost any food, have very high defenses, and useful abilities like Charge and Bite.

You need to configure a totem set first. Click "Configure Totem Set" and then when the totems pop up, click which ones you want, then click "OK". After that it should work. If not, make sure that the totem set you just configured is the active set.

I keep getting stuck at "Authenticating" then disconnect. Then when it actually lets me in, the second that the game world loads, I get disconnected again. 4 times now, I select a character, go through loading screen, Orgrimmar appears and then I get instantly d/c'd. ddosfags pls

Shouldn't Far Sight and Eagle Eye have the same scripting, though? They're both the same exact spell, functionality-wise. Click to move viewpoint, with a 50,000 yard range.
