No, dungeons are not "decent" XP. Especially by level 30. Even a full run to the end boss will only net you maybe 8-12% exp, so you have to run the dungeon like 6 or 7 times for a single level up, which can easily take 8+ hours if you factor in getting a groups, because nobody else is going to want to sit around and run the same dungeon 6 times straight.

Yeah, Tclap even in TBC only did a little bit of threat, and still only hit 4 targets. It pretty much kept the mobs off the healer and that's it.

The only good thing about this quest is knowing that the air totem has no quest and you get it instantly at 30. And yeah, since water totems are pretty mediocre until you go resto at 60, I'd say there's no rush to get your water totem right at 20, unless you really, REALLY want that exp for the 2 hours you spend traveling around the whole fucking game world.

In specific, I'm looking for an addon that will track the timer of Shaman's "Healing Way" talent. I tried Chronometer, but it doesn't want to work. Sometimes it tracks Healing Way on others, sometimes it only tracks Healing Way on myself, and on top of that, the timer is not accurate. When you refresh the buff, Chronometer does not refresh its timer to compensate.

Can it track the buff without having that player targeted? Doesn't seem to be able to, at least, with ungrouped. It properly tracks the buff, but stops showing as soon as I stop targeting the player. Chronometer also seems to work on these un-grouped players...not sure why it's refusing to work when I'm in a group. Both addons, however, have an issue with the timer when Healing Way is stacked up to 3. They don't properly refresh the timer to 15 seconds. Once you get 3 stacks of Healing Way, neither addon will refresh the timer. Also, Mpowa resets the timer every time you un-target and re-target.

Uncheck "fix totem bar positions". If that fails, read the posts above about deleting the lua and lua.bak files in your WTF folder, in order to reset the addon.

I'd wait until 59, and then just heal BRD / DM:E to 60. That's what I did on my Shaman. I did get invited to a Strat at 59, and found it not overly difficult to heal.

Would really help if you actually described the problem instead of assuming that we know what you mean. If you're talking about how the cast bar moves along all jittery, that usually only happens when I have really high latency.

^No amount of int will let you "spam" all of your damage spells and not have to stop and drink. Especially considering that if you're constantly casting, you never regen mana in combat. The only time that would work is if you're finding yourself having 30+ seconds of downtime in between mobs. Which doesn't happen outside of insanely crowded areas. While leveling, I found it best to just use Searing Totem and a single Flame Shock on the mob and then melee it to death, only using two Flame Shocks if you get really bad crit / windfury RNG.

To be fair, there are almost no good TBC servers. Every single one is plagued by shit scripting or shit population or both. Vanilla has good servers, Wotlk has good servers, but TBC has, for a long time now, been in this strange limbo of not having a solid server with good population.

To add, Ele only gets good at level 40 because of having the talents for: +6% crit chance -1 sec on Lightning Bolt cast +100% crit damage Ele is shit without those talents, that's why everyone recommends leveling Enhancement. Elemental doesn't start getting good until level 39. Even then, it's still kinda meh because you have no pushback protection (outside of sit-critting) and you have to drink every 3-4 mobs. I personally went Ele at 51 just to try it out, and ended up going 51-59 as Ele (healed dungeons to 60 as resto) just as a change of pace from enhancement. Killing things reliably in 15-18 seconds feels great, but having to sit and drink every 3-4 mobs was pretty annoying. some pros/cons of Ele: Pros: -Much faster kill speed -Big crits, can burst things down really fast if you get good RNG -Don't have to worry about upgrading weapons, just train new spell ranks -No having to carry around two sets of gear (agi for questing, int for healing), you can just wear your int set all the time Cons: -Way more downtime, have to sit and drink every 3 or 4 mobs -If you run out of mana, you have to run away unless the mob is low on health -Spell damage is hard to come by, outside of crafted stuff like Dreamweave -Very hard to kill mobs with high nature resist

LFG channel works, but nobody uses it. I sat in it for 40 minutes or so and there were only 4 or 5 messages total...all from the same person who was also re-posting his ad to world.

Ele is not faster overall. It kills things a lot faster, but you have to drink every 3-4 mobs. Tons of downtime. That and, it sucks until level 40. Enh is the fastest overall. Once you get 31 points into it, you can start putting points into either Resto or Ele trees, either one is fine. Resto will give you mana reduction on heals/totems, 3% hit and 30 yard totem radius, while Ele will give you mana reduction on shocks/lightning, increased damage to them (and fire totems), as well as Clearcasting and elemental devastation. Both are fine choices, but I'd go with Resto, seeing as it's easier to get into groups as a healer, and the 30 yard totem radius is amazing for groups. Not to mention the 3% hit is really nice, seeing as hit% gear below level 50 is practically nonexistent.
