Yeah, Ele is really shit until you get the +crit chance, +crit damage, and -cast time talents. Really wouldn't recommend going ele pre-40.

The 1.12 client seems to freeze at complete random. No idea what causes it. Yesterday I went the whole day without a single freeze, today it froze 3 times in 15 minutes. /shrug People have said that turning down view distance to minimum fixes it, but I tried that and it didn't work. Also have addon memory set to 0 (infinite), so that's not the issue either.

"Terrible" ? The rewards are pretty decent, and the trinket you get from it is essentially a mini Mana Tide on a 3 minute cooldown. Sure, it's not as good as preraid BIS or raid trinkets, but very far from "terrible".

Why not just switch targets while the first cast is going? Cast sheep at target 1 -> immediately tab to target 2 -> cast frostbolt shouldn't have any issues

Yes, with the quests, dungeons are worthwhile. Without quests, dungeons are shit xp/hr. Only time you should ever run a dungeon without quests is to try and get a really sick piece of gear, stuff like Raging Berserker's Helm, that you won't replace for at least 10-15 levels.

For those of you who are unaware, Mage can "double dip" with their Shatter talent (+50% crit chance on frozen targets) by hitting the target with two spells at almost the exact same time. (usually a frostbolt and a fire blast, or cone of cold) This causes both spell hits to gain the +50% crit chance, instead of just one. Is it possible to do the same thing with Elemental Mastery, or Clearcasting? IE using Lightning Bolt and then a Shock spell and timing them so they both hit at the exact same time, and both benefit from the +100% crit or the -100% spell cost?

You can't go past rank 3 until level 40 You can't go past rank 12 (or 13?) until level 60 that's about it, IIRC

It's not meant for PvP. It's mostly for PvE where you're placing the same totems over and over. The addon is not supposed to replace keybound totems, it makes it so you can place the same 4 totems every time with just 1 keybind.

Yes. Sure, it killed things faster than Ret, but it was really tedious to play, and you're still just sitting (heh) there, autoattacking and not really doing much else. Fun to melt Rogues with it, but kinda meh outside of that. I don't PvP often, if at all.

Barkskin tooltip reads "Physical damage reduced by 20%", not "armor increased by 20%". So yes, Barkskin will still provide benefit even past the armor cap, because it does not modify your armor, it is a separate reduction to physical damage.

Elysium staff will not re-create your character even if you had screenshots of literally every aspect of your character. Why? No, you really don't. You get much more. Even so, with a group of 5 around your level, you will get around 10-15% exp from clearing a dungeon. It has always been like this.

Ice Shards gives +100% bonus to your crit damage modifier. Crit damage modifier is 50%. 50 increased by 100% is 100. So instead if crits being 50% higher than a normal hit, crits will be 100% higher than a normal hit.

Is it PPM or just flat 20% chance with no ICD? I just got my first super slow weapon (3.8 speed) and it's...really horrible. Kill speed has gone down quite a bit, from ~20 seconds to ~30 seconds, on average.
