Fire leveling isn't bad, it's just Frost is so much more efficient, and gives you a shitload more survivability. If you're just looking at tooltips, Fire may look like it has higher DPS, but you run into the problem of your kill speed being dictated by crits. Yeah, if you get good crit RNG you can nuke shit down in 4 or 5 casts, but if you don't get crits, you're fucked. Yeah, if you get a crit Pyroblast, you'll take down like 40% of the mob's health, but...fire only gets up to around 13-14% crit, with talents + crit% from intellect. Compared to frost, where you get +50% crit chance on frozen mobs, with two ways to freeze them. (15% chance Frostbite, and Frost Nova), as well as a talent that gives increased crit damage, giving a little more damage than Ignite. (Ice Shards gives +50% damage on crits, Ignite gives +40% extra damage on crits) And with Fire, you'll always be 3 talent points behind, because of having to put 3 points into the Frost tree for the 6% spell hit talent. I tried both specs quite a bit throughout my leveling on Kronos, and found Frost to be so much better. Even moreso on a PvP server, you will just destroy people and easily out-play anyone who tries to gank you, outside of Warlocks. There's a reason why almost every leveling mage is Frost: It's just overall the better spec for leveling. Fire isn't bad at all, Frost is just better. Since Fire is so reliant on crits, it is best suited for AQ/Naxx where you have shitloads of crit gear. (and mobs aren't immune to fire)

But has worse mana efficiency. Yes, you'll kill things a little faster, but your DPS is much more reliant on random crits, and you'll be drinking every 2-3 mobs. The specs I posted in the guide can be used for 5man and solo PvP just fine. You can't really go wrong with a frost mage.

Sub-30 dungeon loot was buffed sometime in TBC, I think patch 2.3 Notice how items like Rhak'Zor's Hammer and Buzzer Blade are white items in vanilla? Stockades did not have any special loot until this loot buff. You only do Stockades for quests and for wool cloth farming.

Flame Wreath also requires you to avoid standing in the fire; as you stand in a patch of no-fire surrounded by a circle of fire.

Dynamic Respawn already is increased. People have been saying how corpses will despawn ~10sec after you kill them.

Because with 1h, you get to use a shield. Tons more survivability. And IIRC the damage from Flametongue isn't exactly proportional to weapon speed. A 3.0 speed weapon will not get exactly 2x the amount of damage than a 1.5 speed weapon.

GMs have said multiple times now that transfers will never happen, ever.

All classes are in demand if you're a good player.

I noticed that when you have only 1 Flurry charge left and you get a crit, Flurry will not be re-applied. If you have two or three stacks and get a crit, Flurry properly refreshes to 3 stacks, but if you only have 1 stack and get a crit, it just disappears entirely.

There were two shamans in the group, myself being one of them. Pretty sure we both rolled on it.

Numbers-wise, Fury is superior to arms, pre-40. Enrage and Flurry far outweigh the bonuses you get from Arms. Hell, for pure grinding/questing, Fury is the best all the way to 60. Arms isn't bad, pre-40, Fury is just a little better. But if you've got a super slow (3.8 or higher) weapon, Arms is better, mostly due to Anger Management and Mortal Strike.
