IIRC Blizzard did have something like this back in the day. I remember being on my Rogue one time and forgetting that I was logged in, until I heard a window popup sound; tabbed into WoW client and saw a message saying that I was AFK for too long and would be disconnected in 60 seconds if I remained idle. I think it was somewhere around 30-40 minutes.

I'm curious as to why people keep saying this, and where exactly it's coming from. How do you know for a fact that 2 out of 3 people will just stop leveling halfway through and quit the server entirely?

Look in your spellbook. Each tab has a label, that is (generally) the school of the spells within that tab. All of Priest's heals are Holy spells.

No, you do not need super-slow 2h. Shaman does not have any "weapon damage" abilities, so a slower weapon won't really do you any good. I think. I'm not sure if Windfury is PPM-based or not. Most 2h are around 3.0 speed however, so just aim for anything around 2.9 to 3.4 and you'll be fine. And use Windfury, obviously. Before 30, fast weapon with Flametongue is arguably better, doing just about the same DPS while also having a shield for shitloads of extra survivability. Even after 30, Flametongue + fast weapon + shield is still perfectly viable.

There's no exact speed that you NEED to have, you just want to have something below 2.0 speed. Most daggers are around 1.4 to 1.6 speed, that's a good place to be in.

"Blizzlike" is the opposite of "Funserver" Funservers are not trying to be like official servers, they're full of custom content, different XP rates, all sorts of things that never happened on blizzard servers. Blizzlike servers are trying to be LIKE blizzard servers. Not exact copies, but similar. If a majority of the server is similar to Blizzard servers, it is "blizzlike".

AoE spells do not scale very well with spell damage. For example, Blizzard only receives 11% benefit from spell damage. On my mage with around +130 frost damage, Blizzard only gained like 4 damage on each tick. Try using Seal of Righteousness, that scales with spell damage IIRC.

It's a fucking addon, nobody is forcing you to use it. It doesn't provide additional functionality, it doesn't do things automatically, it doesn't teleport you to the dungeons literally all it does is read the chat for you and notify you of certain phrases

You can also sell the ring to people, since it's such a high-demand item for melee/hunters. I had someone do that for me on old Nost; I sat at the end of the hydra area (past the waterfall) while the hunter went and killed Princess, ring dropped and I was able to roll on it.

Yeah, Legion was fun for the first 2-3 months, but after clearing all content on Heroic and getting Exalted with all the reps, the only thing left to do is mindlessly grind AP by spamming dungeons and world quests, which gets old really fast. I unsubbed a while ago, and even though new content is releasing in ~2 weeks, I really don't feel like resubbing.

Same for shaman. Enh/Ele are crap in raids, and don't bring anything that a resto can't.

Okay, even GotWood is suffering from the same issue: Sometimes it doesn't start a timer when I set a totem, and sometimes the timers bug out and freeze. Are all totem timer addons bugged in this way?

Both are fine in PvP, but yes, Ret is shit in PvE and you won't get invited to anything other than MC. unless your guild is willing to carry you with a Nightfall. No, you will not be "forced to tank", especially when raids only need 2-3 tanks most of the time.

Yeah, the starting zones are fine now. Compared to launch day when there was literally 200+ people in the Dwarf starting zone and just finding ANYTHING to kill was a challenge.

Warriors are not hard, they're just really slow and really fucking boring. Level 1-30 you can't do shit except autoattack and Heroic Strike, and maybe Overpower once in a while when the mob dodges. Even when you get to 40, you just autoattack and Mortal Strike. And since they're the most gear-dependent class in the game, they feel way weaker than the other classes.

It's really only the starting zones that are crowded. And even then, it's insanely better than it was at launch. I just started a Tauren recently and had 0 problems finding mobs for quests.

I don't really care about the tick timers (they're often inaccurate anyways), I just want a good-looking timer that works properly. TotemTimers keeps bugging out and not properly starting the timer when I place a totem. I tried downloading Call of Elements, but it doesn't work at all. Just brings up endless errors and doesn't do anything. Yes, I made sure to download an old 1.12 version. GotWood however, seems to work fine so far.
