For 30-40, I switch between these zones: Desolace STV Arathi Hillsbrad All of them have quests for low, mid, and high 30's. That's what you have to do in Vanilla: quest in 2-4 different zones at once.

Everyone always says to respec at 40 to get Mortal Strike, but I'm not quite feeling it. Is Mortal Strike really better than free 25% damage from Enrage? What is the math behind Arms being better than Fury, 40-60 ? I'm comparing the two specs and I'm just not seeing how Arms is that much better. Does MS really do that much damage? I've never leveled a Warrior past 38 in vanilla so I'm a tad clueless. Also on a less related note, if I'm going to be sticking with Axe spec, what are some weapons I can get from 40-50? I know Executioner's Cleaver is one of them, but it's probably going to be expensive as вау.

So I guess I should just stay Fury then? The big-hitters for Fury are Enrage and Flurry. Free 25% damage (albeit at the cost of having to вау around with sit-critting which can get really tedious) and a mini-Heroism whenever you crit. The big-hitters for Arms are MS, Deep Wounds/Impale, and 5% damage from 2H Mastery. I'm not sure about playstyles though. As Fury ATM, I'm staying in Berserker stance, using zerk rage or bloodrage then Intercept to approach and then pretty much only using Slam and Execute. Save up enough rage for 2 Slams and then time them with the enemy swing timer so I don't get interrupted, then Execute when they're low enough. Not sure how Arms plays at 40, but I'm assuming it's just staying in Battle stance, Charge in and then MS and autoattack? Even if it's less DPS, I think I'll go with Arms; it's got much more utility for both questing and tanking.

From time to time, World chat will glitch out and I can't seem to fix it myself. I can see other people talking in World, but I cannot. If I type "/leave 1", nothing happens, and if I type "/join world" it tells me that I'm already in that channel. Logging out doesn't fix it, completely closing and re-opening the client doesn't fix it...it just goes away on its own, after time. Any idea what's going on?

The auto cheat detection system will catch it and ban you.

I've always seen people using Rend while leveling, but I've just always been turned off by the pathetically low amount of damage it does. It does less than a single 2h weapon swing's damage, over 15 seconds. I did a bit of napkin math though, and while Rend seems to be much better damage per rage than Heroic Strike, I'm not sure if it's better DPS when questing. Heroic Strike (Rank 3) gives 32 extra damage, and costs 15 rage, plus another 5-6 rage that you're not getting from autoattack, so 20-21 rage total for 32 extra damage = ~1.56 damage per rage Rend (Rank 3) deals 45 damage, and costs 10 rage, so 4.5 damage per rage. Also is an instant ability. With 3/3 Imp. Rend, it'll deal 60 damage, making it 6 damage per rage. Even if you factor in 3/3 Imp Heroic Strike reducing its rage cost to 12, Heroic Strike's damage per rage is still much lower. Is it worth it to use Rend while leveling?
