Which class to start fresh with?
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Yeah, you will find dungeon groups super easily as a tank, but they give shet exp unless you have quests. -
Across many private servers that I played, lots of them had a common issue: Mining node spawns being bugged, in that the number of nodes spawning is way lower than it should be. I'm talking, doing a circuit around Elwynn and only finding 6 Copper nodes. That level of "these things aren't spawning enough". My question is, are mining node spawns working properly on this server's core? I never got around to doing any gathering professions back on Nost, so I don't know how they worked there.

Question about Mining node spawns
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Nope. On feenix TBC, mining nodes were bugged everywhere outside of instances. Every single zone I went to, even when I used /who to see the zone's population (on both factions), mining nodes were still few and far between. People had filed many bug reports about it, some even 3+ years old, and the bug still wasn't fixed. Good job, feenix... -
Which class to start fresh with?
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Yeah, when I leveled a warrior on Nost, I ended up dual-wielding from 22 until I got the Whirlwind Axe; it wasn't as bad as everyone says it is. The reduced hit chance is offset by more Overpowers and no longer wanting to kill yourself when your slow 2h gets parried or missed. Fury however, pretty sure people have always known that it's the better choice for leveling. Arms isn't bad, Fury is just better, mostly because of sit-critting to get 100% uptime on Enrage, free +25% damage. -
Which class to start fresh with?

Warrior is hard because levels 1-35, you have autoattack and heroic strike. You don't get any (good) instant abilities (except Overpower, which only procs off of dodges) until Whirlwind at 36. It's painfully boring and slow, much slower than other classes. It gets a little better once you get Slam at 30, as well as getting someone to boost you for your Whirlwind Axe, but for the most part you're just autoattacking and using Heroic Strike, and hoping that another mob doesn't aggro to you. Once you hit 40 and start getting some decent gear, yeah, it becomes easier. But before that, it's pretty dull. Getting miss/dodge/parry with a 2h weapon is cancer. Having single mobs take down 50-60% of your health is also cancer. Being one of the weakest PvP classes (at earlier levels) is very cancer. -
The difference is really negligible though. Most times, the mob would die shortly after the PWS broke, and I'd take maybe 5-10% of health in damage, which would quickly regen back from Spirit Tap. On a PvP server, sure, it wouldn't hurt to be a little more careful. But if there's no threat of enemy players around, I wouldn't go to the extra effort and mana expenditure.

Question about Mining node spawns
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
The problem I experienced on other servers wasn't a lack of spawn locations, but a lack of spawns. At any given time, there would be maybe 6 or 7 nodes active in the zone. -
Read the announcements/FAQ. They explain it all. -Nost PvP server re-launching with all character data from Nost -Nost PvE server re-launching as well -New fresh-start PvP server Not sure about player caps. Don't think they've announced those yet.

LFG Deadmines! - Old Memories
gotmilk0112 replied to GhostTiger's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Going into Deadmines as a Mage and rolling need on everything (even things I couldn't use) because my brother told me about "need over greed". That is, until one of the group members told me to "STOP ROLLING NEED ON EVERYTHING YOU ваууING RETARD" ahh, to be a noob again... As for old things I'd like to see return...really, any of the things that I would want to return, will never happen in retail because they'd clash with Blizzard's current vision of the game. -
Yeah, uh...I too am having a hard time believing that you main tanked vanilla raids at 10-11 years old.
-
Eh, that's like, the most basic part of leveling Priest in vanilla/BC. Wands are OP for Priest since we get +25% damage on them, and we can just SWP+Wand for extremely mana-efficient solo grinding. IIRC Warlocks can do this as well to save mana; just send pet in, couple of DoTs, then wand to death, so that you're not constantly life tapping and life draining. No, Mind Flay just sucks at lower levels. By the time you get it at level 20, you should have Cookie's Stirring Rod, which does just a little less DPS than Mind Flay, while costing 0 mana and being immune to pushback. Or if you get the Gravestone Scepter right at 20, that фекал does more DPS than rank1 Mind Flay. Mob damage is not really an issue, in my experience. As long as you stick to mobs around your level, you should not take too much damage. And any damage you do take, will be quickly regen'd from Spirit Tap anyways. The extra bit of slowing from MF doesn't make any noticeable difference.

Which class to start fresh with?
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I'm not playing on the fresh server, because I don't like PvP servers. I'm going to be starting fresh on the Nost PvE server. So I guess yeah, that's also a good reason to go herb/alch, because I won't need to craft gear, I can just buy stuff off the AH. -
Which class to start fresh with?
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Is it actually feasible to level BS while you level up, and get decent gear from it? I was thinking I'd go Mining/BS on my warrior. You can do that with tailoring; getting more than enough cloth from humanoid mobs to level tailoring as you level up, and craft lots of gear for yourself. Never did level blacksmithing until Cata, but I've heard that it's right up there with Enchanting as one of the toughest and most expensive professions to level. -
My one absolute favorite thing about Kronos is that they reduced the talent respec costs by 90%. This means that it starts at 10s, then 50s, then 1g, then 1g 50s, etc...all the way up to a maximum of 5g. This is immensely helpful as it lets you freely respec without having to break the bank. A godsend for classes like Paladin, where you can have a spec for leveling, and then easily switch to a tank spec to tank dungeons, and then right back again. Or for Priest, you can easily switch back and forth between holy and shadow. Or if you're just leveling and want to try out a different spec, you don't have to worry about spending a fortune on respec costs. Or if you PvP and raid, you can easily switch between your PvP and PvE specs all the time. Would it be possible to implement that here as well?
-
There are no bad classes or specs. Every class has a place in raids if you're a good player. Only exceptions are: -Shadow priest, only 1 is needed in raids, and even then, only when debuff limit is increased to 16, IIRC -Fire mage, almost everything in MC/BWL is immune or resistant to fire
-
Yeah, if you've got Sanctity Aura and the paladin judging Crusader, you will wreck фекал with Smite.
-
Yeah, it's mostly the huge strength bonus that makes it better than other options around its level.
-
So yes, you're using "muh slippery slope" as your argument, as if it's impossible to just make one change; that making one change 100% guarantees that a million other changes WILL come after it. Jeez. Can't discuss anything on this forum without everyone taking everything to extremes.

some question about the realms
gotmilk0112 replied to JustBloodWork's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
ftfy But don't let that stop you from thinking that I'm "ignoring you because I disagree". shh bby, your feelings will be alright Thanks for waving a giant red flag to put you on my ignore list <3 I'll go ahead and stop feeding you replies now. I'm not hating on anyone, I'm wondering why PvP players are so elitist towards non-PvP players. With these two clowns as lovely examples. -
And why do you people think that if we reduce respec cost, we MUST continue on and nerf everything else? As if it's impossible to make just one change? Reducing respec cost doesn't change any other part of the game.

some question about the realms

Asking why people keep crying "CAREBEAR! CAREBEAR!" is hostile? lol ok to the ignore list you two go then, don't want to rile you up with any more of my "hostility" -

I just don't get why PvP server players are so hostile and elitist towards PvE server players. -
some question about the realms
gotmilk0112 replied to JustBloodWork's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Okay? Does that mean you're "hardcore" for getting ganked over and over, and if other people don't want to go through that stress and frustration, they're "carebears" ? top kek 5k players is "dead" rofl thanks for the keks, m8 -
some question about the realms
gotmilk0112 replied to JustBloodWork's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
And there it is again. "you don't like being ganked? LOL CAREBEAR LOL CAREBEAR GB2 RETAIL LOL" Being ganked isn't challenging, it's just a frustrating waste of time. Extra corpse runs aren't challenging, they're just a frustrating waste of time. Ganking is not the only "multiplayer" activity in the game. The way you elitists talk, you'd think that WoW is all about world PvP and nothing else. Because that's literally the only difference between PvP and PvE servers, is the ability to gank people outside of battlegrounds. -
some question about the realms
gotmilk0112 replied to JustBloodWork's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
So not wanting to be ganked constantly in every contested zone makes you a carebear? Not wanting to put up with STVietnam and Searing Gank makes you a carebear? Really never understood this elitist mentality of "if you don't want to get ganked over and over, you're a CAREBEAR!"
