If you want to make the trek out to Deadmines, people say that Smite's Mighty Hammer is really nice until 30. Nice slow weapon speed and a huge chunk of strength.
-
You got it. I never asked for cheaper riding and instant loot. I just asked for a small, but very effective, quality of life change. Nice slippery slope though. Server is running patch 1.12 on 1.0 content with 1.4 items/itemization, with player cap far above what blizzard set. We're already very far outside "blizzlike".

Costs to Level Efficiently
gotmilk0112 replied to Destron's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
...okay, apparently the mods decided to delete my post for whatever reason. Not sure about Rogue, but Warrior can be expensive because it's one of, if not the toughest class to level solo, so you'll be inclined to buy lots of gear and blue weapons to give yourself as much of an edge as possible. Not to mention keeping yourself stocked on potions and higher-level bandages. "Leveling costs" are pretty much just gear, potions, and spell training costs. Like the guy above said, often times you don't have to train EVERY ability, just the ones you need for leveling; you can get the rest later when you have spare gold. Locks/mages are good for farming, so are rogues/hunters. They're just good at killing things, which is very helpful when farming ore/herbs or just killing humanoids for cloth. You wouldn't want a Priest or Paladin for "farming" because they're not particularly good at (efficiently) killing things. However, they can both AoE farm lashers in DM East, which can net you 50-100g per hour depending on drops. (Mage can do this as well) -
Fresh realm: Group and raid content.

The whole "10man strat/scholo, 40man BRD" stuff was only in like, the first 6 months of the game; they were given 5 player limits after that. -
Yeah, I think they're starting the servers off at patch 1.4 itemization, just like Nost did.

Please breakdown "Rolling Ignites"
gotmilk0112 replied to meddlingmage's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
IIRC they're talking about Ignite damage stacking instead of overwriting. Like when you get two crits in a row, the second Ignite would add to the first Ignite's damage, instead of overwriting it (and thus losing damage from it) Not entirely sure of all the terminology, but I think that is what "rolling ignites" means. -
Legacy needed more than ever, Legion has failed.

Which class to start fresh with?
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Much, much less of a pain when you've got lots of money to buy potions and keep your gear really up-to-date. -
Spirit is useless for paladin; you don't make any use of oo5sr regen. Dwarf racial for guns also doesn't apply to paladin because you can't use guns. Honestly, if you're going to be a healer, it doesn't really matter. But I'd still go Human for the rep bonus and the bonus to swords/maces, which you will be using while leveling.

What headset do you all use?
gotmilk0112 replied to Docholy's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I've been using a $35 Ausdom bluetooth headset for over a year now; works perfectly fine outside of some minor glitching here and there. Only problem is that the stock ear cups are not very comfortable, so I just bought a pair of memory foam ones to replace them. -
Which class to start fresh with?
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Well, I'm going to level a Mage at one point or another for DM East farming, so I might as well do it first so that I can level a warrior with extra assistance and have it be much less painful. -
Which class to start fresh with?
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I explained why I want to carefully choose what I start with. Warriors are the most painful class to level, so doing it without any external financial assistance would be even more painful. Mages on the other hand, are easy to level without spending any extra gold on them. So, a good game plan would be to level a Mage first to build up some gold and then level a Warrior so I can make leveling easier with greens/blues and blue weapons. I was just wondering if there was a better choice than Mage. -
Breakdowns from a Nost Vet
gotmilk0112 replied to Destron's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Druids are not good raid tanks because they cannot reach defense cap. They're fine in 5mans and on trash pulls, however. Paladins can reach defense cap, but they cannot hold threat as good as warriors, can run out of mana, and they require lots of consumables just to reach the same level of mitigation that warriors have. Again, good for 5mans and trash(esp with consecrate!!), bad for tanking raid bosses. Paladins are good at raid healing because they can spam fast Flash of Lights all ваууing day, sniping other healers. No, Shadow Priest is not viable for PvE mostly because of debuff slots. SWP and Mind Flay both take up a debuff slot. This is made even worse by earlier patches that only have 8 debuff slots available. That and, they're terrible on longer fights because they have no way to restore mana outside of runes and mana pots. -
That seems like a really odd request to make. Why do you need to know the specific values of level 20-30 random enchant greens?

I read that the character data from Nost will be transferred over to the new servers; I was wondering if it would be possible to transfer a character from the PvP realm to the PvE realm? I started on Nost a while before the PvE realm was even announced, so by the time it opened, I was already heavily invested in the PvP server. Would much, much rather play on a PvE server though, so I was wondering if I could possibly transfer my Nost PvP characters over to the PvE server. If not, that's also fine; a fresh start also works.

I'm mainly focusing on that ridiculous health regen, though. Is that really accurate? I don't remember any class regening 4% of their health every 2 seconds. That's what is confusing me here. Health regen is not that high in vanilla, except for at really low levels.
-
Yeah, taking less damage as Prot makes sense, but that health regen seemed way too high. On my 50 mage on Kronos, I'm only regen'ing 1% of my health every second. Same with my 52 Paladin.

Why not open all 3 servers at the same time?
gotmilk0112 replied to VladAtheris's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Hell, when the server went over 7k it got really laggy. Back when I played, server pop would dip down to 3k/4k at night, and it was fine. Would hover around 80-100ms. But during the day, especially on weekends, it'd shoot up above 7k and that 100ms would quickly become 1,000ms. There was 1-2 second delay on everything, even though the latency bar still showed 100ms. Was borderline unplayable. I can't imagine playing at 10k+ online. -
Question about Nost character data
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Except literally nobody is complaining in this way. We're disappointed that we couldn't start on the PvE server, but I don't think anyone is actually blaming Nost for it. It's not Nost's fault that we started at the time we did. -
Huh. Weird. Is Warrior health regen really that high? From what I remember of leveling one on Nost, I was always having to bandage/eat every pull; health regen was really slow.

Question about Nost character data
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I'll never understand this elitism towards PvE server players. We don't find it fun or challenging to be ganked on sight by every enemy player that passes by. We don't find it fun to have to deal with assholes camping neutral towns/areas like Nesingwary and Thorium Point. We don't find it fun to be ganked by enemy players way higher level than you that you have 0 chance of fighting back against. I just want to quest in peace, without the high stress of knowing that at any moment, someone can just come up and give me a 2-5 minute corpse run. If I wanted to PvP, I'd type "/pvp" or go join a battleground. Just...I really, really don't understand this mentality of "if you don't like getting ganked relentlessly, you're a CAREBEAR SCRUB!!1!1" that so many people seem to have. Except literally nobody is saying this. We're not screaming at Nost for not "giving us what we want when we wanted it", we're just a bit annoyed that we started on the PvP realm and then had the PvE realm launch after we were already invested in the PvP one. Nothing Nost could do about that. -
Question about Nost character data
gotmilk0112 replied to gotmilk0112's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Well then. Guess I'll be starting fresh on the PvE server. At least I won't have to deal with gankers, I suppose. -

You sure that's on a regular vanilla server? You're regen'ing 3-4% of your health every 2 seconds, out of combat. That seems insanely high. Is that the one server that runs patch 3.3.5 but caps level at 60?

Does Battle Shout grant threat, even if the party members already have the buff active? Basically, can I just sit there spamming Battle Shout and it will keep generating threat?
